Division isnt dead, but its Dying. With the announcement of the Division 2 players dont see the point in playing a game that isn't going to have anything new. Why invest time and effort in to it when nothing is going to carry over. Not making an Expansion was a mistake.
no man many chater in game and people cant play, game is dead
Games been dying since it came out, game was dead when Destiny 2 was revealed, game was dead when Destiny 2 came out, Game was dead after 1.3, game was dead after rogue 2.0, game was dead after all the 'named' pvp players left, game was dead when it died, game was dead before it was resurrected, game is dead because I say so, I've played over 1000 hours and now I'm leaving as the game is dead, game is dead bruh 1v1 me, you killed me your using Cronus game is dead, game is dead because your running OP striker / shotty and I quit - dead game; game is dead because your using broken pred and I quit - dead game; game is dead because your using 10 life nomad
Did I miss any?
Game isn't dead
No
Did you watch that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxZnZdgfvc8 this guy in online and play around any PVP areas game isnt dead? For me dead Ubi and Division yesterday night
The Division 1 is dead for Veteran players, that's for sure. Hell, it died long ago for some already.
- There are no planned balance changes coming.
- There is zero post-classified content coming.
- There is no new loot coming.
- And you new players will reach the uninstall button faster than those who've been playing since day one because of the GEs.
So, lol.
We're just waiting on Division 2. Who knows, there could be a surprise E3 update to Division 1 that brings new things (excluding Shields), but as it stands: Division 1 is brain dead and its body is just filled with maggots eating away at the innards.
The maggots will eventually move on because there will be nothing left.
Yea, for me it was since U1.6 was released.
When a new patch is released, I have all the new exotics within the day of release and am unlucky enough to get all the Classifieds I wanted; no endgame pursuits left.
I still play time to time to keep up with what's happening, but I mainly stick/stuck around in hopes that the game will find it's stride, but it only started to grow properly with U1.8 in year 3 :\ and now it's almost tome for the Division 2 at E3; to far ro late.
Sad but true. If the game had managed to keep a reasonable amount of it's player base we would have had a Y2 Season Pass with expansion DLC, but with 97% of the player base jumping ship there simply are not enough players left for UBI to invest. Hell, Wildlands has just announced a Y2 SP. There are many theories to why Div1 lost it's player base, but most players (ex players) that I know left when they realised the end-game was the DZ. And since PvP was pushed as the main development focus right up to and including patch 1.7 the game continued to wither.
Ironically post PvE-friendly patches 1.8 and 1.81 the game is the best it has ever been, it needs more variety in the PvE endgame but it is still good. 1.8 actually increased the player base for the first time since 1.4, but too little, too late. I just hope that lessons have been learnt for Div2, and the end game isn't just another GankZone.
We had a fair amount of new content since release. The extra incursions/missions/difficulties were all very good. Ive enjoyed all the season pass content more than I should have done including the modes added for free in 1.8. Apart from WSP. So its not all doom and gloom. Tbh they did a good enough job with the additional content and roll outs to keep me interested Sure an expansion would have been good.... but what would it have needed to include to stand out from all of the aforementioned?
No point making an expansion to charge you 19.99$ when they can release a new game and charge you $69.99. ^^
In addition they can easily roll out game changing patches to ensure you have to keep playing bc your old inventory is now obsolete. ^^
That is not a release model I would prescribe to given a choice. So TD2 will not be an automatic choice for me. Sadly but, I shall wait and see!
