Death Wish Mission Glitch NEED HELP!!!
Im stuck on the Death wish mission. The mission keeps telling me to return the death wish to Merle but it is nowhere to be found. I cannot search for it too far because it tells me that I am leaving the mission zone and I fail. When I fail or die it returns me to the gas station and I lose all of my progress. Fast travelling and shutting the ps4 off wont help. Need some help please
Same issue, found a temp fix.
I came across the same issue. I got out of Death Wish and when I looked back it was gone. I tried everything from quitting the game, quitting the mission trying to trigger events again. But i did find a temporary fix that lets you continue to progress the game but not finish the Death Wish mission. If you're like me and triggered other story based missions but ignored them because its an open world game you probably have been all over the map and have a lot of very far away fast travels (i.e. in the north or east). I fast traveled to one with an active STORY based mission. It needs to be a story based mission to over right the key mission in the top left. By doing so you're forcing the game to switch its core mission. I used the mission "Friendly Skies" to do so. Do note it will still have Death wish as an active mission, so DO NOT click quit mission. for the sake of testing I did it and it Adds the Death Wish mission back.
TL;DR:
Fast travel to a different section that has a story based mission started (you can see it in the missions menu), track it with waypoints and complete it. You won't get reset because of being too far. finish the other STORY based mission and you won't have any active missions. This is a temporary fix until it is patched. You won't be able to quit missions because DeathWish is still the main triggered mission. This is just a way to continue progression, accept new missions and track them with ease.
Note: reseting the mission includes fast traveling. and will likely occur when the game is exited and re-entered (have not tested exiting game) but you won't get the failed notice for being too far from the mission area.
UPDATED NOTE: It appears dieing re-adds deathwish, and the only story missions that can temporarally get rid of it are ones that havea cutscene in them.
