We actually haven't revealed the exact content of the season pass yet, outside of the pre-order bonus :)
So stay tuned for more information about it soon!
Will the contents or at least a general outline of what is planned for it be revealed prior to the game's release? Also will the season pass ever be available to purchase on it's own? I noticed today in the xbox store that as of now the only way to purchase it is via the gold edition. Unless I have a better idea of what I'd be paying for, I don't think I'll fork over the money sight unseen for the gold edition, but if later I found out what the content was, and was interested in it, I might want to get the pass separately, so I hope that will be an option down the line....
Hey there!
Hope this answers some of your questions :)

it does not appear so i think these 3 contents are what the season pass entails
This is actually epic.
For those who want a story related DLC, this is a better option in my opinion. And means that the current story is fully fleshed out !
i've been a long time FC fan, played EVERY SINGLE one of them. This gives my some blood dragon vibes, and we all know how great that expansion was.
I'm hoping the DLC assets can be used in the Map Editor by season pass holders too !
>For those who want a story related DLC,
Where does it say in that press release that it is story related content?
They could be multiplayer map packs and skins or a new COD zombies style wave defense game mode or something else entirely.
This is the problem. Ubisoft is not giving you enough information to decide if that content is what you want or worth your money for the season pass or Gold edition. They are trying to pad pre-sales by tantalizing you with the prospect that this content will be XYZ, but not enough information to determine if it is.
I too want Blood Dragon / Valley of the Yeti mini campaigns or "story mode" missions. The map making guys want additional content for making maps. The multiplayer crowd wants unique multiplayer and/or coop experiences. We all WANT different things and HOPE that these DLCs fit that bill, but Ubisoft is refusing to even detail BASIC information on what these season pass items are :(
If you look back at Far Cry 4's season pass there were three released items OVERRUN (DLC30) which was new multiplayer maps and modes, Escape from Durgesh (DLC60) which was a new timed mode played on the single player / coop map that had basic story elements but reused the campaign map and Valley of the Yetis (DLC90) which included a full fledged mini-campaign on a new map. Three entirely different things only related in that they all revolved around the Far Cry 5 main story elements, but each with different amounts of content and addressing different stylesof play.
We've never had three completely fleshed out additional story modes in any previous Far Cry game (only Blood Dragon for FC3 and Valley of the Yetis for FC4) so it seems surprising that we would get that level of content from this entry in the franchise. Ghost Recon Wildlands on the other hand had two additional "story mode" style DLC offerings (Narco Road and Fallen Ghost) so it's possible we might get something in that basic level of content (I'm suggesting amount of content not style nor quality)
This could all easily be resolved by Ubisoft simply telling us what the intent is for the additional content. :(
Why would they be map packs in a game that will have an infinite number of user generated maps? They may not take the form of traditional campaign/ narrative structures, but I don't think they're MP/ PvP related. While adding assets from the DLC to the editor would be awesome, it also runs the risk of segregating the community by making maps with DLC content unavailable to players who don't have the DLC.
There is a sliver of evidence these DLCs are story related & not MP related as when the various editions were announced, the only clue as to the season pass' content was that it included "additional stories, content & gear".

> but I don't think they're MP/ PvP related
You *think* they are, but you don't know. I don't know. Please understand that I'm not attacking you (or anyone) I am just pointing out that all three DLCs all have a conflict theme (side A vs side B) in the one line descriptions we get and they don't explain what they consist of other than theme.
All anyone can do is "guesstimate" based on the images and brief thematic descriptions.
Previous content for Far Cry DLC DID include multiplayer content . I'm saying a LOT of people are making assumptions that this season pass content has some story content to it, but that's not been stated.
I'm looking for clarification from Ubisoft, but as usual they are unwilling to give it. :(
I respect your point of view, but I disagree and I think it may be foolish to expect that the DLC will be what any one person thinks that it will be. Only Ubisoft can explain what it is. Until then I think this is a marketing ploy to get people to pre-order the gold edition without fully understanding what they are getting in the season pass.
