Official list of weapons in FC5
Based on information collected from http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/Far_Cry_5#Ingram_MAC-10, a page that I've been helping to create, and other sources such as ubi streams, trailers, and everything else, we've gotten a pretty good idea of the new weapons that will be appearing (as well as those that will in some form or another be returning.) While I'm sure there are still plenty more to be revealed, as of right now, it looks something like this (though keep in mind how incomplete this list is, as some categories are clearly not fleshed out)
*Means the official in-game name has yet to be revealed
Pistols & Handguns
- 1911 - a staple, the 1911 was in FC3 & 4 (and a 9mm Spanish Star Model B variant appeared in FC2), there seems to be a relatively large number of custom variants available, and it also appears like the base variant will be customizable to an extent far greater than its predecessors.
https://s10.postimg.org/xw6ruiigp/1911.png - P226 - An entirely new weapon, the P226 is a welcome addition to the series, being itself a high-capacity semi-automatic pistol (which is something that's been absent from the series since Far Cry Instincts)
https://s10.postimg.org/bx0d7crcp/P226.png - .44 Magnum - The good ol' S&W Model 629 - this was in Far Cry 3 & 4, but was a more modernized variant (the Stealth Hunter), whereas Far Cry 5's rendition seems to be the standard stainless 629, though customizable as ever.
Submachine-Guns
- MP40 - The left hand of the second world war's Wehrmacht, it's a very recognizable submachine gun. A bit unusual in the USA, and obsolete by most standards, the MP40 is nonetheless a capable, reliable, and infinitely cool design. Seems like it'll be super customizable too.
https://s10.postimg.org/nyvr1hdft/MP40.png - Skorpion - Returning from Far Cry 3 & 4, the Skorpion is an interesting little SMG/machine pistol - being one handed it has the distinction of being usable from vehicles and ziplines, although I'm wondering what (if anything) it'll do to not be overshadowed by the MAC-10.
https://s10.postimg.org/5jba44hbt/Skorpion.png - SMG-11 - A strange but familiar weapon, it appears to take elements from all MAC variants (the MAC-10, 11, and Cobray M11/9), and has been one of the most prolific in pre-release media. It's got a high rate of fire and a large amount of customizations, and is an all-around badass SMG. What's not to love?
https://s10.postimg.org/qg7i8s7mx/SMG11.png - Vector .45 ACP - Designed with a unique recoil-dampening system, the KRISS Vector is a submachine-gun that tries to make a high rate of fire viable, and succeeds.
https://s10.postimg.org/giwhfqn6h/Vector.png - MP5 - The HK MP5 has dominated the submachine-gun market in almost every category for the past 30 years - whether you're a cop, Pirate, Royal Army soldier, extreme religious cultist, or good ol' American gun-owner, the MP5 will work for you, and work well it will.
https://s10.postimg.org/56jvxwwh5/MP5.png - MP5k - The compact version of the MP5, a badass weapon that appeared in every memorable 1980s action flick - when you need an MP5 that can fit in a briefcase, look no further than it's kurz sister.

Assault Rifles
- AR-C - A totally new and customized rifle very similar to the AR-15 (though it doesn't appear to actually be an AR-15), the AR-C is set to be the bread and butter of Far Cry 5's gunplay, and is the weapon used by the majority of cultists and resistance fighters.
https://s10.postimg.org/dotc275jt/AR-_C.png - *AK47 - An AK variant (seemingly based on a Serbian Zastava M70 type, but very tactical-ized) is also going to appear, no longer the "beginner's" rifle from the previous games. Compared to the AR-C, little has been shown of it, but it has made a few appearances.

Other Rifles
- AR-CL - a sub-variant of the AR-C, this one has a longer barrel & handguard and is equipped with a long ranged scope, used as a designated marksman rifle. Appears to be locked to semi-only, unlike its parent rifle.
https://s10.postimg.org/ucku4pngp/AR-_CL.png - MBP .50 - A new rifle, and a cool one at that, it's a bolt-action .50 caliber bullpup sniper rifle. What's not to love? Based on the Desert Tactical HTI.
https://s10.postimg.org/eec4elge1/MBP50.png - SA-50 - Coming back from Far Cry 4, this is also a .50 caliber bullpup sniper, but instead of being bolt-action, it's a semi-auto. Like in Far Cry 4, it's a Gepard GM6 Lynx.
- *Lever-Action Rifle - A new weapon, the lever-action rifle will allow us all to live out our cowboy fantasies throughout the state of Montana. Doesn't appear to be a specific real world model, but has elements of both Marlin 1895s and Winchester 1886s.
https://s10.postimg.org/56jvxw1m1/Lever_Action.png - .308 Carbine - Another new rifle, this is a straight up bolt-action hunting rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, the staple rifle you imagine when you think of American hunting culture. Appears to be a CZ type, based on the 550 Magnum specifically.

Shotguns
- M133 - The Baikal MP-133, the Russian copy of the Remington 870, is coming back from Far Cry 3 & 4, again acting as the main pump-action shotgun. It's certainly less common than its American counterpart would be in the USA, but even Russian shotguns find their way here on occasion, so it's not totally out of place.
- SPAS-12 - Another one returning from previous games, though it has a longer barrel now like the full-sized Franchi SPAS-12 rather than the shortened one. Unknown whether it will be semi-auto or pump-action (or both) this time, as even the semi-auto variant now has competition.
https://s10.postimg.org/jpr0zczwp/SPAS-12.png - *FABARM FP6 - A new shotgun, a dedicated semi-auto, and one of Heckler & Koch's few attempts at manufacturing a shotgun (the other being the CAWS in the 1980s.) Very interesting for sure.
- SBS - Standing for "side-by-side", this is your run of the mill double-barrel, one of the most common types of weapon in the world, the USA acting as no exception.
https://s10.postimg.org/80n1bdlsp/SBS.png - D2 - Taking its name from Far Cry 4, the D2 is a sawed-off double-barrel shotgun, good for rogue bikers and Australian wastelanders alike. It's a proper shotgun now, however, and not just a shortened variant of the .700 elephant rifle from the previous game.

Infantry Machine Guns
- M249 SAW - Replacing the MKG from the previous games, the SAW is a well known support weapon used by the US military, and a sub-variant of the FN Minimi. With a high rate of fire and a very large box magazine, the SAW can shred anything like paper.
- M60 - A neat little short-barreled M60 (an M60E4 with a classic handguard, most likely) seems to be the main general purpose machine gun in FC5, replacing the PKM. But don't let its size fool you, the M60 can and will turn soft and hard targets alike into Swiss Cheese.
Bows & String Weapons
**While only one bow has been confirmed at this point, images of the store in the game show them as having their own category, so it's likely that other bow variants will appear. (be they things like the auto-cross or predator bow from previous games, or entirely new weapons)
- Compound Bow - A neat and well-manufactured bow made for hunting animals, enhanced and repurposed to be used against people as well.
- Slingshot - A simple weapon, but it can be deadly in the right (and wrong) hands.
Launchers & Heavy Weapons
- *Carl Gustav M3 - A second launcher is coming too, based on the Carl Gustav M3E1. Like the Gustav in Far Cry 2 & the LK-1018 in 4, this will probably be laser guided, but that has yet to be confirmed.
- Flamethrower - Just like it was in 3 & 4. If it ain't broke, don't fix it - but if it ain't burning... well, you get the idea.
https://s10.postimg.org/s80h3mtjt/Flamethrower.png - M79 - The sawed-off M79 is coming back, baby, which gives you the perfect one-handed weapon to rain down explosive death from the comfort of your car or zipline.
https://s10.postimg.org/auq6ost3t/M79.png - RPG-7 - Now a tactical and American AirTronic variant, the RPG-7 seems mostly unchanged besides aesthetics, but definitely fits in with the new environment.
https://s10.postimg.org/ingugsm89/RPG7.png
Grenades, Explosives, & Throwing Weapons
- Frag Grenades - They're frag grenades, like they've always been. What more is there to say?
https://s10.postimg.org/6llgmkcyx/Frag.png - Smoke Grenades - A new addition, smoke grenades will be useful for concealing your movement and disorienting your opposition. Very welcome indeed.
- Molotov Cocktails - Just like they were before, molotovs can burn vehicles, people, animals, and buildings with ease, and are more than happy to do so for you.
- Dynamite - A new thrown explosive weapon, seems to be much more potent to vehicles and structures than grenades.
https://s10.postimg.org/hl6ny6itl/Dynamite.png - Proximity Mines - Much the same as in Far Cry 3 & 4, proximity mines will detonate when any target comes near, making them excellent trap weapons.
- C4 - Also like it was in the other installments, C4 can be planed/thrown and remotely detonated to very satisfying effect.
- Throwing Knives - Taken from Far Cry 4, throwing knives are good for silent and distant takedowns at close range when even a bow or suppressed weapon are too loud.
- Bait - Coming back from 4 & Primal, bait will attract (spawn) a nearby predator type animal to come wreak havoc on anyone you throw it near. Gone are the days where you rely solely on entrapped animals to create chaos in outposts, although you can always free them and throw bait anyway to increase the carnage.
Melee Weapons
The new category.
- Fists - Even when you aren't carrying any other weapons, you can still use your body as a weapon when the time to throw down becomes apparent. This is a very cool feature.
- Baseball Bat - A common and effective melee weapon, even if it wasn't built to be used as one.
- Paddle - Administer some old-school style discipline when you're away from your canoe or your kayak.
- Pipe - The only liquid funneling through this thing now is blood.
- Shovel - Digging not included.
- Sledgehammer - Meant for breaking rocks and breaking skulls.
Rumored and unconfirmed weapons are here, as there is not substantial evidence at the moment to confirm their existence, but some possible indicators that the may be appearing.
Others
- Beretta 92 - Appeared on the cover
https://s10.postimg.org/prynpte21/Beretta.png - SIG-Sauer MPX - Appeared on the cover
https://s10.postimg.org/esdge7vcp/MPX.png - Colt M4A1 - Appeared on the cover
https://s10.postimg.org/5xcm3pea1/M4_A1.png - Mossberg-type shotgun - Appeared on the cover and in some pre-release cinematic trailers.
https://s10.postimg.org/3ss92mkd5/Mossberg.png - Kukri/Knife/Machete - Has yet to be seen, but is highly speculated on.
- IMI Desert Eagle - One of the few weapons that's appeared in every Far Cry game (sans Primal & Blood Dragon) to date, it's a series classic. One of the weapon pick up icons in the game also appears to be roughly based on the Desert Eagle, though it is not confirmed itself.
- Any other returning weapons from Far Cry 3/4/Blood Dragon. It's clear a number of weapons from previous games will be coming back; however, they aren't getting nearly as much spotlight as newer or revised weapons (understandably so.) This includes the - Auto-Cross, 6P9, M-712, Mark IV, Flare Gun, AJM-9, A99, A2000, MP34, BZ19, 1887, F1, ACE/A52, P416, STG-90, MS16, .700 Nitro, M-700, SVD, Z93, MKG, MG42, PKM, U100, GL-94, GL-A87, and Harpoon
