The for hire system here, while not really a system I'm particularly excited about, does seem to have a lot more depth to it than the tamed beasts of Primal though. All primal did was give beasts a class and each class had a particular strength. Cats were stealthy with low health, bears were tanks etc. With the for hires, the 9 specialists all seem to have their own specific perks & benefits, and the random civvies you can hire can actually be upgraded by gaining perks & skills when you use them, so that is actually a lot cooler than I was expecting. Even if I'm not very excited about the system in general, having that progression there at all will give me more motivation to use hires than I previously expected to....
