So here is my multiplayer idea..
Besides having fun, winning some acorns, & bragging rights, I currently I don't see much incentive for playing the Multiplayer, especially when it is essentially the same affair every season. It would be nice if there was an extra something to draw people online, & play against each other more often.
Red Lynx offers physical prizes for competing in the Multiplayer. Prizes could include Red Lynx or Trials related swag, things that can't be obtained any other way, than competing in the Multiplayer. Prizes could include keychains, posters, clothing, stickers etc..
- The leaderboards are re-engineered. Split into tiers. Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze.
- You are placed into a specific tier depending on how you perform in the pre-season races, & from then on, you will only play against people of the same skill level, thus making it harder to stay at the top of the leaderboard, & win prizes.
- However, to win the season & ultimately walk away with a prize, you must race a minimum amount of times per/week, & any days that you do not compete on, you are penalised & loose a set amount of points, (which could impact your leaderboard standing.)
- Physical prizes are handed out to 1st, 2nd & 3rd, across all of the tiers. Digital prizes including rider costumes & bike items, could be given to riders placing 4th-10th. (maybe exclusive items that can only be won through placing in MP?)
- Acorns are given out as usual to everyone else competing in Multiplayer seasons.
Because the leaderboards are split into different tiers, everyone across the entire skill range within the Trials community, gets their chance to shine on the leaderboard, & potentially win prizes.
Thoughts?
