Really annoying how rogues actually get an advantage in battle as everyone scared of going 19 second. Fix it you ****'s!
It's not only that, at this point most players will just shoot at you, if you accidentally go rogue, or even worse, I've seen people go rogue by accident, and they just thought "aw, **** it, let's kill the non rogues while we're at it". So this mechanic alone breaks so many rogue and manhunt fights, it's not even funny anymore.
For me personally, this is the biggest gripe I'm having with PVP in The Division ( well, this and the ridiculous lack of anticheat ). I play pretty much only PVP these days, I like hunting rogues, but this design is beyond stupid, I wish they would at least address it somehow, but as usual, crickets...
I doubt it'll see much change because being Rogue and dying as a Rogue, has no penalties whatsoever...so other than being a "small" "nuisance" to players that end up being killed cause of that 19 seconds counter....its "not a big deal"...
Nor should it be a big deal. Adding penalties to one person in PVP and no penalties to the other person is stupid. All it does is create run away sissys or roof hiding chumps. XP, keys, and DZ funds should be completely removed from the game. People act like rank 99 means they are winners. No....it just means they ran away like a little biatch 1000s of times.
If your idea of PVP is running across the entire map every 30 minutes then keep up the "more penalties for the meanie rouges" nonsense.
Sure, if you enjoy playing the Benny Hill show I can see how that's fun, but for me this turns the whole place into a circus, it's hard for me to take anything serious in there with those clown mechanics.
But cool, now I've officially met the first player who likes this broken concept, you never stop learning in life.
Couldn't agree more. Sick of being disavowed because another Agent ran across my field of fire during an extraction firefight and caught a couple of bullets. At least make KILLING a non-hostile Agent the trigger to go Rogue - not light accidental friendly fire.
they should offer a Friendly Fire toggle to people who wish not go rogue, as mentioned, the "Benny Hill show" seems to ensue after a few accidental rogues happen in a large group...... but as soon as you do that, a whole bunch of people would say that is unfair as making people go rogue on accident is a mechanic they can exploit when they go rogue themselves.
maybe instead they should expand the FF to your own team, that would make a few people a little more cautious about spraying and praying and tossing grenades at random everywhere.........
