Anyone else feel that the npc's in the DZ are getting to the stage where you can't even run past them anymore? Massive must think no one notices these changes, not saying it's a bad thing because it makes groups stop and fight!

No, they are weak
Don't get used to it, 1.6 is round the corner an my prediction is that Massive will (unintentionall) kill off the DZ.
I made a thread about that about a week ago, it's ridiculous actually.
We constantly up our values, just for Massive to up NPC values as well. I think developers get some kind of pleasure out of this ********, tweaking numbers to **** with their players.
They haven't raised their toughness, but their damage was definitely upped by a significant amount. You won't get any answer anyway, the 1% chance for an answer is Gabe posting smth like "I will forward this to the team", from whereon you will never hear about this again.
I like the DZ its the cheating kids I hate with aimbot and god modes etc... I think they should kill the teams and make it a solo player area, Lets face it it would stop a lot of grief , one on one pvp, the npc is set up well when the gear works, the dps drops etc for no reason at all. My gear is maxed out alpha , banshee striker etc and I have 404.669 dps and I can empty 2 mags in to a rouge and they shoot once and I am dead, with the world tiers I can not get my armour to 70% mitigation it sits around 50.. The problem we have with Massive is they do not know what way to go.. they just do it and hope for the best...
Then don't run pass them (easy fix). Even though you have X value of toughness and 10+ K of armor, it doesn't mean that you can face tank those NPC.
NPC in DZ right now are balanced and not overpowered like from 1.3 where you will be one shotted by a mp4, which is ridiculous. They also do damage in numbers, like those rioters in DZ 1 where they will overwhelm you in your cover.
The thing is, once you maxed out in 1.4 and even until 2 weeks ago in 1.5, you could always run past them, it was never an issue. Maybe one heal but they never downed you.
It's not about facetanking them, it's about running by, two very different things.
The gripe I am having with this is not the NPCs themselves, I can easily kill them quick enough, the problem is, that it makes rogue fights unpredictable and unbalanced. There seems to be zero logic to who they actually aggro, sometimes they run past 3 other players just to get to you, it just makes no sense, along with their ******ed movement.
It just sucks big time, if you lose a fight against a rogue, just because 3 NPCs decided to gang up on you. I mean the fights in the DZ are rarely even and fair already, it's not like we need more random elements to it.
the NPC's right now feel comfortable. If you get sandwiched between players on one side of you, and NPC's on the other side of you, it can create an issue. But if one or two people on your team turn on the NPC's you can get rid of them pretty easily and fast.
Also I don't think the DZ will be killed off, as they made it part of survival as well. And its part of the story mission.
Personally I like the DZ. It always has an element of unkown, I have gotten very frustrated at times in the DZ with various things. But something keeps me going back in there. Then there's times when I go in there and it's so much fun.
There are many ways to avoid NPC and being stucked between and the rouges, and its a common knowledge (but now i think not at all). Now how they will avoid it? For the sandwich thing, why not pushed forward to the rouges using ults? (communication is the key, and timing also). Now to avoid being detected by NPC while running, DO NOT run in the middle of the street or in front of them (do i need to explain why?), just run on sides, use cover and their blind-spots (left and right). Concealed pulse, turrets and seeker mines are your best option to avoid them.
