I had my doubts but I finally gave in and bought the Gold Edition which is on sale. Now, I am still in Brooklyn and obviously I have yet to reach lvl 30, but I can see that I will play this game for months. It's everything I wanted and more.

lol you just wait buddy, it gets better. Once you reach 30 and go into the DZ it becomes GOTY.
Glad you took the plunge.
The game up to level 30 is a real treat, in my opinion, with a coherent plot, interesting characters, and an authentic sandbox to play in.
The pacing is just right and there is a rewarding feeling as you begin, little by little, to go from green, to blue, to purple, and eventually to gold, weapons etc...
The end game repetition, DZ PvP, drop frustrations etc...are not important at the moment, so just enjoy the game and welcome to the forum.
Happy shooting, don't forget to collect all of the intel when you have time because it helps you understand the story and what has happened more. It also gives you a few trophies if you go for that.
But for now just enjoy the game.
We need you, don't forget that out there!
Good to see a positive post for once:)
So tempted....To post something toxic........
Uh.........Umm.........Huff huff.....
Git gudder!
:)
And remember all the advice you get from the game:
JTF agent: "Don't be taking any unnecessary risks," followed by, "Better you than me."
Cleaner: "Remember why you're here!"
Ray Benitez: "When the going gets tough, the tough get going."
Advanced Weapons Vendor: (After you leave the counter, not buying any items) "Would you mind making room for paying customers?"
