Just picked up this weapon - it's insanely powerful
I got one with a DMG score of well over 300000 without any mods
Most NPCs go down in one shot :-)

Good to know. I stashed one LN and am considering a sniper build.
What does it take to down a level 34 LMB medic or a 34 LMB heavy with shield? This is the question that needs answering.
Also, where did you find it? On my wishlist.
Alpha bridge it with a 229 <something> with Provident while you can...... the insanity gets even more insane. Twerk it with DMR gloves, EAD and make your 2 piece Reckless/Savage if you can.
for easy one shot veterans, throw on:
Explosives
Booster shot
Pulse
For elites, throw on:
Water
Booster shot
Pulse
Have Brutal, prepared (and be in range to make it work) Ferocious, destructive in your AB mix and only aboot ~5k FA.... OHKO elites, and maybe 2-3 for named elites, and this is at level 34, WT5.
Got a few of these drop on me but not with good talents, so still not used it. Also, the deal with having a locked talent kinda blows since most of these talents are rather useless in PVP (and even PVE) so you need to get the two other talents be good, which is statistically harder than getting 2 out of 3, in order to roll away the third talent for a good one.
@ZoharQAW I actually AB MM rifles, when in the mood, with Coolheaded in the mix, which I thoroughly enjoy in PVE TBH. When I do, even after the nerf, I like to roll with smart cover as I'm able to keep it up almost constantly and anyhow you shouldn't run that much in PVE. Usual talent mix is Coolheaded, Deadly, Brutal, Competent, Destructive (can't remember the 6th talent). Hard hitting, even though it's an M1A and we all know that's more of a throwback these days.
Had one on the PTS but not played much on live yet. First 4 gun drops I got on live were all G36 Cs.
Agree that the R700 Carbon can be an awesome gun with the right talents.
I watched a video on YouTube stating that the Model 700 variant is by far the worst option, since it doesn't allow a magazine (from 2:00 in the video attached). That leaves us the Tactical and Carbon variants. Does anyone have any insight on which to focus on, or which to look for, from the two?

I haven't had time to do any extensive testing yet, but I'll let you know. I took down the named boss near Amherst's apartment in four or five shots, sorry, wasn't counting
I picked the weapon up as the reward at the end of Lincoln Tunnel Checkpoint (on Hard)

I found an M700 last night and it does feel pretty fun to use! Do have to be careful with your aim though as it doesn't have a high RPM like some of the other Marksman Rifles.
