I absolutely adore Marcus - he is an awesome character. I'm only a few hours in the game, but I love his personality and attitude, and basically the whole DedSec team.
But no *playable* female characters? In 2 WatchDogs games? In the vast majority of 10+ AC titles? In none of the Far Cry titles I played? If 90% of playable characters were women, half of the population would riot here.
You are not a small indie developer that can use the "lack of resources" excuse. Please fix this.
Hi Awkwardpanda and awenare,
We appreciate your feedback! Thank you.
I'm gonna play it like reading a book about someone's adventures - It's not going to be as immersive, but it helps :)
It's obvious why this happened but still kind of ridiculous. Seamless multiplayer means Marcus would have to keep morphing into a female character whenever your game is invaded. It would break things to say the least.
Ubisoft should have had the foresight to let us create a completely custom protagonist, like we do with Mass Effect, Saints Row, etc.
I played as a man as Laura Croft. Threre was no option to play as a male Tomb Raider. Should I now also be upset?
Actually you can play as Alex, Jona, Liam, Roth, Samantha, Grim, Reyes, Steph, Victor, Whitman, Pilot or Lara in Tomb Raider. Most multiplayer games out there have male and female character options.
I think they can make a separate character for multiplayer, but as for the single player, itīs Marcus because the game has a storyand youīre playing as a male character.
Not all games gotta have character creation. It depends on the author. If the story has defined characters, then itīs the way it gotta be. Same goes for tomb raider.
