My Ideas for Frontier
Alright, it's time to get my ideas out there. I saw the monthly discussion for October, and seeing as it is November now, I'm guessing that that thread won't be active anymore. I don't want my ideas to go unnoticed. There are also a LOT of ideas here, so there should be plenty that can be responded to. That's another reason why I made my own thread. Here are my ideas for improvement of the game.
Hope you brought a bookmark, this post won't be short.
1. Watchable replays.
The option to watch opponents' (and your own) replays is one of the best things about the Trials series. This is the first thing I was sad to see missing when I first downloaded the game in May 2014. It can't be too hard, seeing as all the ghost data is already available considering that we can already race any ghost we want...
2. Team PvP
I think that adding this option would keep players playing that would otherwise quit. Some people (like myself) love the bunker and will keep playing showdowns for as long as the bunker is available to be played. But it is definitely repetitive and is pretty predictable.
My idea is to make Team PvP matches an option exclusively for Rider's Club members. This exciting new multiplayer option would entice players to join the Rider's Club, which would yield some serious profit.
Here's how it would work:
-Anywhere from 4 - 10 players join a team PvP match (2 per team to 5 per team, maybe even 1 on 1 could be an option?).
-Players choose their teams (either manually or with a predetermined clan tag).
-X number of races are played (4? maybe make it customize-able so the players can choose how many tracks/heats).
-Points are awarded accordingly for how well you place in each race.
-The game keeps track of how many points each team has.
-Faults are allowed, but are factored in. Like in any race in Frontier, a 1 fault run automatically loses to a 0 fault run. Faults subtract from points at the end of the race.
-It's live, so there's no way restarts would be allowed.
-The team with the most total points at the end of the 4 races wins.
-Depending on how far you want to go with it, teams could become ranked globally depending on how many team PvP matches they have won/lost. The more wins that a clan/team has, the higher they are ranked. Losses make a team drop in rating. Just because a team has won 2 matches and lost 0 doesn't mean that they would be ranked highly. It should based on team experience almost as much as it should be based on record.
I could probably go into more detail, but that's the basic idea. I think this idea could catch on in any trials game. It would make speedrunning even more competitive and it would bring in revenue for the game developers without making PvP a "pay-to-win" scheme. If you actually took the time to read this, thank you. I think this could be really fun and it would stoke people to have this option to form a team and battle it out against other top players. There are obviously still lots of things that would have to be determined, but this would be very good for keeping players around, paying, and interested in the game.
3. Leaderboard integrity.
I saw a message directly from the devs talking saying "Leaderboard integrity is very important to us." You guys managed to delete a lot of hackers on iOS and un-jumbled the Cave Entrance, Night Life, Three Bridges, and Pike Alley leaderboards. To me, it appears that leaderboard integrity is important to you guys. The next step is to find the players that have extra points and recalculate their scores. By the end of this event, I should be ranked 3rd on the iOS leaderboards (behind VaNa91 and abylons). BUT, instead I am ranked 5th, because DanielP and CBunkerManiac have 3 million extra points. There are lots of other players who have this (to my knowledge, inexplicable) glitch, and I would like to see 3 million points subtracted from their score to show their true leaderboard position. If leaderboard integrity really is that important, then this is one of the next few steps.
4. Release Tracks from Past Events
I just did this title so you would skip over it. If you didn't, thanks for actually reading! Pay no attention to the title of this one, I actually think waiting to release tracks for a year or more after the event is a smart business move. It makes people play the special Trials Frontier events intensely whenever new content is released, because people know that there will be a consequence if they choose to skip the event. I am saying this as someone who didn't have all the tracks for a very long time, and believe me, I was upset about it. But I understand, and it's a smart way to keep people playing the events (and through that, spending money).
5. Gigatrack.
Gigatrack was my favorite map on Evolution. It would really cause excitement in the community to see a gigatrack-length track released. I saw the title of Endurance Run and was really hoping that it was going to be at least 2 minutes long. I was disappointed. (Oh and also, Frontier needs an Inferno track! Not as desperately as it needs gigatrack but still!!)
6. Showdown Ties ???
When playing showdowns, ties sometimes occur. It's impossible to tell what time you and your opponent made on the main screen of the showdown. I think it's reasonable to at least put how quickly we finished the race so we have some point of reference. As is, tying doesn't make me want to spend extra tickets on the track because I'm not always sure that it will be worth it/it's hard to keep track of how close I'm getting to improving. If nothing else, please just put the time by the track name on the showdown screen. I will continue with another option for showdown ties on the next idea (even though my next point would primarily be for just normal time trials).
7. Racing Multiple Ghosts
If you're looking to be fancy, you could choose to include both ghosts in the event of a tie! I think that this would look really cool and you could tell where you gained/lost time.
I think this would be an even better idea for just racing normally on the map. Maybe limit 3 ghosts you can be racing at once? That way you could observe the difference between other players' best times and your own. See what you do well, what you need to improve. I think this would be really cool.
Also, Evo and Fusion do it! Why not let players play against multiple friends' times?
8. No Ghost, Just a Tracker
Even though I prefer it how it is now (with the full rider and bike), it would be a good option as far as pace
goes to have the name of the player be the only thing on the track when racing a friend. I've heard from numerous Fusion and Evo players saying that they would like this to be an option, seeing as it's an option in the console games.
9. Done.
That's it for now. I'll probably think of more stuff, seeing as I'm constantly thinking of new ideas for how the game could be made more enjoyable, competitive, and fun for all types of players.
Thanks for reading, if you made it this far. Please let me know what you think. :)

Some good ideas in here.
I like the team playing PVP but i think it might be a lot of work.

Good ideas for the most part. #1 and #3 are HUGE for me. I really wish I could watch replays. Oh and the Leaderboards are the most important part of the game. Too bad they haven't been accurate in 2 years.
