Demo: Can I transfer my demo characters to the full game?
No. You need to start from the scratch and enjoy the fun to free Anteria, once you start playing the full game. But you can enjoy the
demo version as often as you like.
Playtime: How long is the Campaign?
As usual, the total play time depends on each players experience, skills and the chosen difficulty level. Developer play-throughs showed that an average gamer needs around 20 hours to finish CoA in normal mode. The game comes with 4 difficulty levels and on top, you can activate the “Ironman Mode” (in each difficulty level) for a bigger challenge. Ironman mode disables manual saving, keeping always a record of the last action you took.
Difficulties: What about difficulty levels?
The game comes with 4 difficulty levels: Easy, Normal, Hard and Extreme. The Extreme mode must be achieved.
On top, you can activate the “Ironman Mode” (in each difficulty level) for a bigger challenge. Ironman mode disables manual saving, keeping always a record of the last action you took.
Game modes: Can you share anything about different game modes? Endless mode or 4-5 Hours game?
It’s a story driven game which offers a lot of player choices on what to do next.
The game has a campaign mode. You can choose between different difficulty levels.
On top, you can play each difficulty level in “ironman mode” where save games won’t save your life ;)
Multiplayer: Will the game have multiplayer?
CoA is designed as a pure single player game. A key feature is the Active Pause Mode which is very helpful to react to new situations in order to adopt your tactics. This would not work well in a multiplayer environment as the participants will pause and interrupt each others game play. Additionally, being a single player game allowed us to create a rich and very personal story.
Coop: Is this going to be coop?
No. The game will be a single player experience only.
But you can compare your progress and successes via achievements on Uplay and Steam.
Versions: What is the difference between the digital and retail version (retail = AU/DE only)?
The retail version has the same content as the digital version.
Payment: Will there be an in-game cash shop?
CoA is a PC game which will be available via digital stores, such as Uplay and Steam.
There are no micro transactions.
