I can't understand this game.
I'm really trying.
I love Far Cry 4. I haven't liked a game as much as FC4 since Age of Empires III, so it's been a while...
But this game I just don't get. Some troglodyte with alopecia grunts at me in a made up language that she will teach me about plants and gathering so I squat next to her at the campfire (cavefire?) and she grunts about 10 more "words" (which aren't translated) repeatedly for the next 20 minutes.
Okay, I guess I am supposed to wander around aimlessly killing/taming beasties and somehow figure out how to build a village (see? I really am trying.)
Is there a beginners guide or an explanation of gameplay/objectives?
So far this seems like a digital stone age Dungeons and Dragons. I never gave D&D a fair chance because I didn't get it (and no shapely fangirl ever asked me to play.)
Can anyone help me before I abandon the game altogether? I keep gathering stones the size of a small car and enough alderwood to build a Texas A&M bonfire. I have no idea if this stuff limits other items I can carry. (And alderwood might be used as an unfletched arrow for darting birds on the ground but that's about it weapon-wise.)
I have read the Wikipedia page and it doesn't really give me direction. I have tamed an owl, but I guess he was radio-controlled because he flew out of range and is probably menacing Washington D.C. airspace.
So soething that would get me going would be appreciated.
