Rogue status a different view
I've made no secret of how much I hate the whole rogue thing, but yesterday I saw it in a totally different light as I found myself running for survival.
I was in a 4 man team at the library when another 3 lone players came along and joined in, as can be expected the usual crossfire incident occurred and our group was marked as rogue status but we just carried on and finished the mission at hand. However one of the lone players decided he was going to have a pop at us, as not one of us is below GS208 and all have a DZ rank of above 90 he didn't stand much chance, I even warned him over the mic to back off, cos if it comes down to it then it's him or me, he chose to ignore that so I had no choice but to wipe him out, the other 2 lone players had disappeared by this point.
We tried to keep out of the way and burn down the timer, but someone else popped up and had a go, so we had to waste them, then the same happened again and again, and before we know it the manhunt was on.We managed to get to a subway in DZ03 so we could set up a defensive position, about 6 people came for us, all of which we took out while we waited for the never ending timer that run down, I have to say tho the buzz was fantastic during the whole thing from start to finish, it's not something that I'd set out to do deliberately in future, and I still believe we should have the option to toggle friendly fire mode which would prevent any accidents, but I found the whole experience probably the most exciting in the game I've had yet, so can see the appeal of going rogue, however the one big difference we were doing it to save our skin (and DZ credits & rank), I still have no time for any rogue group that wanders round wiping out single players for the fun of it, but I thought I'd just post a different perspective on it..
