**** you. That is SUCH nonsense to be engaged with an NPC at under 2 meters, and have some dip**** idiot run between you and the NPC and send YOU "rogue."
Honestly. The mechanic can be so broke as **** sometimes.

i feel like a broken record, but
1) pay better attention to your surroundings (pulse). How you let someone get within 2m of you and didn't know they were there is beyond me.
2) finish the job. i've had people try to do this to me a number of times. occasionally i will give them what they want (i go rogue on them) but i dont stop at a 19 sec timer. ;)
1) I pulse as often as I can. My pulse lasts 25 seconds. I then have 7 seconds longer before I can pulse again. Anything that was outside my pulse's range when I trigger it, but enters the range afterwards, won't show up until I can pulse again. And believe me, I spam the daylights out of my pulse because I'm on a tactician's build, and I depend on it for my DPS. 2nd...you folks need to teach me how to change my genetic code so I can see behind me like you apparently can. How you can see people that run up from behind you and then cut in front of our line of fire, is beyond me. Your lifehack skills are just better than mine. It's not like the fool is in my line of sight and I'm too blind to see him, or can't aim.
2) I most certainly do. If I hit someone by mistake because heir situational awareness, or lack thereof, causes them to run between another agent and the target upon which he's firing, that isn't something I should go rogue for. If I'm going to go rogue, I'm not going to have the person I did it against kill m as I apologize and try to explain myself. I'm going to attempt to mow them down and anyone else who thinks I need to be dealt with because someone else was an f'ing moron. I'll rack 'em up as they come. I don't intentionally go rogue, but when I find myself there, I'mg going to get some practice in on my PvP skills (or lack thereof, as it often proves to be). lol
Depends on the players on the server too, personally if it happens I won't go straight for the rogue
If however they start putting rounds down on my position then it's game on
re: 1
1) there are farming routes in the DZ. if you are in the middle of a farming route, it is very likely someone is going to turn up behind you.
2) you also know where all the spawn points in the game are (CP and safehouses), most people run straight lines from these spawn points to whatever they are doing. if you run outside these flow lines, you can engage enemies in a place that is less likely to have someone run up behind you.
--getting north (above DZ01-2 and even 3) will mean fewer players, and more tactical areas where you can see both the enemies, and agents entering via the typical paths into engagements.
3) i use pulse to scan boss areas to see if the boss is still up and to check behind me before i engage. i look backwards probably more than I look forward with pulse, b/c I can see the enemies in front of me, and I have headshot pulse talent turned on. this lets me save my pulse to see what's coming up behind me.
I know people who used one of the squad members to force somebody Rogue so that the rest of the squad (who was still standing behind the soon to be Rogue) could immediately gun them down to collect on the reward without having to go Rogue themselves.
If you believe someone made you go rogue on purpose by running between you and mobs, Press T, load fire bullets, Finish the job.
