604 High Grade by Kush Land 604
Mode: Trials
Difficulty: Hard
Original Platform: Xbox One
I always enjoy a good Kush Land track & High Grade is definitely that. Falling well on the easy side of hard I think many might even label this track as medium but it is a Pit Viper track and as such Kush Land was right to call it hard. This is a fast track that flows pretty well. It’s not very technical but you will need a few well timed bunny hops to keep things flowing smoothly. Otherwise simply keeping your balance should get you to the finish with few problems. The jungle ruins theme is one Mr. 604 has used before but the lighting on this track gives this familiar theme an all new feel. If you are an upcoming rider who’s just starting to tackle hard tracks this will be a good ride for you. Try it out today on Track Central.

Barn Raider by AM0RPHOUS
Mode: Trials
Difficulty: Hard
Original Platform: Xbox One
The enclosed environment in Barn Raider reminded me a little bit of Trials HD however the theme and decoration on display here are far above anything our old friend HD could handle. The detail work in the decorations and the top notch lighting really help this track stand out as a visual treat. Everything looks so good that I didn’t even question the odd shape of this barn or the strange machinery being housed in it. Of course Trials tracks aren’t all pretty scenery and Barn Raider has a line that was a joy to run over and over as I chased my friends on the LB.

Runnin’ Wild [K8] by KALzzone8
Mode: Trials
Difficulty: Hard
Original Platform: Playstation 4
Good to see KALzzone8 isn’t letting his school work get in the way of creating awesome courses for us to ride (do your homework & stay in school, kids). This time we have another desert themed pure Trials track hot on the heels on VegasTrash’s Dunes Day last week. The technical drive line in Runnin’ Wild reminded me a lot of Evolution’s Way of the Ninja though the track is considerably shorter in length. At first the track appears really technical with obstacles that need to be taken one at a time but as I ran it again and again looking for that no fault run I was able to string together more and more obstacles. There is a flow to this track but you’ll need some expert handling of the bike to keep it going all the way through.

Pieter C.M. by Rishaanvb
Mode: Trials
Difficulty: Extreme
Original Platform: Playstation 4
It’s not often that I have to do research to write a Uplay article but Rishaanvb had me running to Wikipedia to read up on Dutch painter Pieter Cornelis Mondriaan. Based on the abstract works of the late painter this is an extreme ride through a geometric course, like baby Einstein I’m talking about shapes and colors. Rishaan has taken these elements and built an artistic extreme track that shouldn’t be very difficult for experienced riders. In this track you are traversing one of Piet Mondriaan’s paintings. The theme is simple but the craftsmanship is high and a nice ending brings the whole thing home. Abstract modern art is rarely this fun.

397 Demeter by RaketeAal397
Mode: Trials
Difficulty: Extreme
Original Platform: Xbox One
RaketeAal has been showing off distinct visual styles in Trials for some time now. In the early days of Fusion 397 was pushing the boundaries of the Xbox 360 creating some truly spectacular creations that rivaled their new-generation peers. Now with the full power of Xbox One at his disposal the quality of these creations continues to rise. While Demeter is handling all aspects of track creation well there are a few things that really stood out. Great use of depth of field gives this track a very mysterious vibe as well as a very visually interesting look. Speaking of looks this track has 3 distinct theme changes that all transition seamlessly and work well with each other. And finally, like last week’s Atom Smasher this track uses sound to really cement the tone. The drive line here is mostly easy extreme though there is a bit of a spike on the final obstacles. Still the track is worth taking the time and the runs to get a good LB position.
