(Suggestion): Knife only as hard mode for arena
I wanted to make a simple suggestion for using knife only in the arena as for me at least it really helped bring out the intense melody of violent free flowing carnage the takedown system can become in that setting. I never used take-downs much before, but evolved to this because the arena's design promotes combos and because I was trying to make the unbelievably intense game play more intense. I find it so intense now I usually have to go and sit down somewhere quiet for 10 minutes afterwards before I can do anything else. It feels like playing an instrument during a car crash - really never played anything else like it and I keep going back for kicks alone.
I know it's not to everybodies taste and those that don't like the arena don't need to and shouldn't need to care about it, but I found knife only really encouraged me to push the design to it's fullest extent. There's basically no tactics beyond about 5 seconds - it's just free running instinctive use of the takedown system and environment because of the beautiful balance between the elements. Sometimes you have to learn to appreciate a masterpiece and they all have rough edges - well done devs!
The main reason it works is that the crowd dynamics/healing/score/layout/scaling rewards and enables recklessness and if you allow yourself explosives and molotovs you don't have to annoy the crowd on large animals. Of course, you can just play knife only, but it would be awesome to have it as an actual option (especially if there is something similar in the future) because it's not immediately apparent you can do everything knife only (it is!), because using the weapon interrupts the flow in a way that discourages takedowns, and because keeping the crowd is key and they like the weapon to be used. There is definitely a hurdle to get over, but all the high scorers must basically do this and only when I tried did it quickly get fun enough for me that death wasn't frustrating.
