This is more about learning the Scripted animation changes than actually guiding the wingsuit. For me personally, this is an inefficient way of making you stay on the game and make it last longer... I could be wrong of course.
You should be able to do it with short taps of the steering keys, holding them down results in overcorrection.
The closest you will get to a cheat (from me), is to constantly hold the "climb" key (W or S depending on your mapping), you don't really climb so much as fall much slower. If you do this you end up well above the narrow canyon walls, then the trick is losing enough altitude to land near Willis.
Once you get past that its really too easy, and you'll probably find yourself wishing you could fly it again down lower.
The only advice I can offer is that when you come to the Y in the canyon and the helicopter is on the right, take the canyon to the left. Remember the avalanches don't hurt you so ignore them. Other than it is a matter of repeating it and getting killed until you succeed. Took me about 8 goes.
Either tap vs hold the steer keys, since holding them can cause oversteer and overcorrection, or just launch from the highest point and hold W to stay very high. It's actually possible to fly above the canyon and not even have to aim for the hole in the rocks at the end. I find if you also aim your mouse view as high as possible, it keeps you even higher.
The highest point to launch from is via running to the left of the launch area and taking off from the snow bank.
The thing about guiding or driving anything is that the steering input is a reducing radius turn. It turns sharper the longer you hold the key down. So, until you develop a feel for it, and you will over time and practice, use a series of rapid short taps. Do the taps instead of holding the key down. You can practice the technique driving a truck or flying the helo.
I am a slow shooter, hence, why I rather take my time and Gu-Ho my A$$. I am also a bad flyer so what I do when fighting bosses or scripted scenes is I try to learn where the scene changes... sure, it takes me a few tries but in the end, I get away with it.
If it was up to me, I would make sure the game didn't come with any of these lazy/scripted/cinematic kiddy stuff. Unfortunately though... it is not
Can you tell me the wingsuit controls, I can't even get it to deploy.
Steering the suit are the same (keyboard) keys as driving a vehicle. The wingsuit can be deployed with the left shift-key but it usually auto deploys when you jump off a roof/cliff. Last not least the c-key switches to parachute if you want a spot landing.
Last not least make sure you have bought the wingsuite from the vending machine ;)
