TBH I don't get that many fighting games for 2 reasons, I am the younger kid, and my old brothers are not into gaming at all, so I am kinda playing most of the time on my own, 2nd is the story, I feel like I would be wasting my money on a game if there was no story, even though there are alot of fighting games I want to get LOL The only fighting game I got for my PS3 is Mortal Kombat 2011, it had an amazing ((and frustratingly difficult)) Story, and I grew up playing MK, it was really worth it, but I will check Dead or Alive 5, I had it on my radar, but it dropped due to lack of money.
Yup, it be fun. There's decent story mode; about 75 fights long. (Maybe check the wiki page to see what happened in 4 if you decide to play 5... a few things will make more sense) Speaking of which, the story is actually pretty fun, better than I expected; it's all very playful and a bit silly, but good for the lulz. But most importantly, the fighting! It plays like a dream. All the characters look great and the "triangle" system really shines when you develop those reflexes. No character customization, just a sweet roster and unlockable outfits -- a lot of which look pretty nice. The game as a whole looks very nice, and the levels are really fun. Sending an unsuspecting fighter through a wooden floor with a kick-counter is a novel experience. Man, I'm really rambling on here, haha If get a demo, or pick it up, and like it, hit me up and I'll give you the lowdown on the finer details. Oh, and Bayman's Sambo leg-grabs... beautiful.
really ?!, Dead or Alive 5 was good ?!, okay I will see if there is a demo on the PSN and try it out, btw is there a story mode like in Mortal Kombat 2011 ?!
I hear that. I really really want Blacklist to have that more classical player-choice vibe. Scripting is such a kill-joy. Dead or Alive 5 has been occupying me game-time of late. Really fun -- fixes pretty much everything that 4 did wrong. And one of the new characters, Mila, is an instant fave for me. If ever you find the opportunity, give the demo a burn. <3
yuo, I know how you feel, like every mission got a scripted moment or two, actually every level does, which kinda goes against your freedom as a player, I hope BL doesn't do the same mistake in the name of narrative & story.
Nah, not yet man. I got to the end of the Airfield mission... there were a few fun moments, but I keep getting that "scripted" feeling, kinda turned me off again. Dunno... I hope I'll finish it one day, but it's been shelved again for now. :|
so did you manage to bring yourself to finish GRFS ?!
Oh, okay man. n/m that then. Look here PCSX Metal Gear Solid is in the compatibility list. You shouldn't run into much trouble. I've never used this one (I've used it's big brother, PCSX2 -- for Playstation2 - it worked fine) All you should need to do is get the bios off your PSOne, and there should be instructions for that somewhere. Try googling PCSX if you have trouble, the emuforums are full of helpful posts and instructions etc. lemme know if you hit a brick wall; I've done a bit with other emulators and stuff, so I might be able to help. Best of luck man, cheers
TBH I didn't try playing it on PS3, but that's cause I am extra careful when it comes to the PS3, I had a few messed up situations with my PS3, that I fear doing anything to it LOL, I hope things work out eventually.
There is a PSOne emulator for the PC IIRC. PCSX1 Though, I'm pretty positive you can put your MGS1 disk in your Playstation3 and it'll work. Playstation3 is 100% backward compatible with PSOne. I'd be more included to do that ('cause that should work fine) as appose to mucking about on the PC.
