I totally forgot the context. This was a prisoner situation. One guard blocked a door with riches, while the other would lead you to your death. You get one question. So the question is actually which door to choose. You would have to get one to give the other guard's answer. So you would ask “If I were to ask the other guard which door leads to freedom, what would he say?” If you ask the truth telling one, he would tell you the other would lead you to the door of death. If you ask the lying one, he would lie and tell you the door to death. Basically, whichever door they point to in that situation is the wrong door, and you choose the other.
