Hello all,

As some as you might know is that on AMD Enduro cards with switchable graphics, (for instance my AMD HD8570M / Intel HD4600). There where a lot of artifacts and it made the game unplayable like this:

On Guru3d are some new beta drivers that aren't even posted on the AMD site yet, so consider this a beta of a beta and use it on your own risk!!!

OK:

(1) First download the following items:

The Beta driver:
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/amd-catalyst-15-x-download.html
I Picked the "Download Windows Vista/7/8/8.1 64-bit - EU Mirror".

DDU: A tool to remove all traces of the old driver
http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/ddudownload.htm

(Optional):
Get the newest intel drivers for your switchable graphics.
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProdId=3720

(2)

(Optional) Make sure you install the newest INTEL Drivers for your switchable graphics. Intel released new ones a short while ago. Although it probably isnt neccesary I highly recommend you do so!

(3)

Boot into windows Safemode and run DDU. Make sure to SELECT AMD. and press "CLEAN AND REBOOT".

(4)

After you have rebooted and are back in Windows. Install the new beta driver.

(5)

Reboot after install and check in CCC if Unity is set for "High Performance".

Worked for me! I seem to have Omega speed but without graphical bugs. The 14.11.2 Driver was considerable slower and this finally makes it playable!

Again! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

Regards,
Rob

PS. It's possible you need to deactivate the unsigned driver protection on Win8.
Walkthrough for that here:

Holy moly!

I was rather skeptical about this solution, as I'd tried various others, but it actually worked!

Major thanks to you!

A minor order-change for fellow driver-noobs here btw:

1 Download and install INTEL drivers
2 Make sure (or re-download) the driver you got right now (for me it was 14.12) are saved.
3 Uninstall anything AMD (ccc, gaming evolved) before the rest
4 Reboot, keep pressing F8
5 Run DDU (AMD+reboot)
6 Install Guru driver
7 Reboot

Initially I forgot to uninstall anything AMD first, so my system gave me lots of errors regarding "drivers not found" and stuff. That fixed it. Probably a different version of ccc...

System:
Notebook
Processor: i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz
Graphics: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and AMD Radeon(TM) HD8970M 4Gb
RAM: 16 Gb
OS:Windows 7, 64bit Home Premium

IMPORTANT NOTE
IF you use Solidworks 2015, this driver will crash the application. So either finish the game fast, or go back/forth every time....
