Hey Far Cry Fans.I have finally gotten my first map finished. I started on it a while ago but have had little time to devote to it. Plus figuring out how to make the Ai do what I want it to do.
So now I have multiple conflict zones throughout the map.Like my old MP maps, the action is Fast and Brutal.Temple of Kali is an Adventure map. More open world than focused single objective.
I have provided a couple of options for getting to your primary objective, that provide a lot of action. and variations in game playI have multiple Alarms spread out in the various action zones which need to be disabled. Getting them not to go off during the first wave at the start however makes the map not play properly. So, The alarm will get set off.
Here are the basics for the map.
System: XBOX One
Map Size: 544x544 meters
Enemy Types: Beheader, Army Berserker, Army Defender, Army Heavy Gunner, Army Sniper, Army Defender, Molotov, Hunter, Army Flamethrower
Animals: Tigers, WolfVehicles: ATVWeapons: Pistol, Throwing Knife, Shotgun, AK-47, Land mine, C4, Bow Whatever you pick up.
Because of how the Ai has to work, I start you with a Pistol, and a Throwing knife. You quickly get more, but the ammo is limited.

Looks nice man. Good to see that you made a map, haven't seen one from you in a while. Unfortunately, I can't play it since I am on PC but I will watch a video if somebody makes one. Once again, nice job.

Map is not published.
I added a turrent near the bridge and house. This helps with survival. I also moved the alarm near the lower bridge to a point where it is guaranteed to go off.

Let me know if everything works....if you beat it.

Ok I will do my best. If you can check out. ONE CHEESY MAP -that's the name of the map. Ok I beat it. Took me 4 tries. I died twice on the lower path. One on the higher one. I threw c4 at the higher one and took everybody out.but one person set off the alarm. I got to the zip line saw a lot of armed men with the camera but fell off the cliff.lol Next time on the higher path I threw meat and used c4 took everybody out and disabled the alarm. Went to the zip line this time nobody was around. Disable the alarms, went to the lower path disabled alarm. Complete.

It was challenging and fun. not sure how hard the temple would be, no alarm went off and nobody was around. I have not made a outpost map. So not 100% sure, but maybe put a guard inside and outside or maybe they wandered off and I killed them on the road. Map looks beautiful and landscape looks great. I like all the detail you put in the houses. I don't like time limits personally but you put enough in to complete the map, and still put alittle pressure in me not to go off exploring. I love the open world feeling you put in your Map. Everything looks good. I really like the map and will to try get through the lower level next time.

Man, thanks for all of the feedback. I am glad you tried the different routes. I am surprised than none of the guys came out of the temple. Bu, they are programmed to come out after 75% of wave 4 is killed. It is possible you kill them on the way to the temple leaving wave 5 outside.
The lower path is pretty hard. I made sure it had blind spots for the player. How long did it take with the timer?

It took me three times and I admittedly got very lost on every try, but man was it fun. Great textures and detail with placement, really good map and I can tell you spent time on it. People should check this one out for sure!

Looks like a huge map from the pics but nice also - Mike see if one of the guys would be kind enough to do a quick video as I would like to see it playing (Don't think the wife would be too happy if I went out and purchased an XB1 to see it - I need to work on her for that)

i made, I did with my phone. I may try that again.

One note I will add, While testing it, I played it in a number of different ways, trying to anticipate how people would play it. Each time, was action packed. Once I tried to ride the ATV past the bridge house, and they called reinforcements. I got trapped near the woods with about 20 enemies, just running around trying to survive.
I will work on the video. Meanwhile, you go work on that wife about the XB1 :)

That path seems to be harder. I believe I had 14 minutes left. I was rushing through and I did not set off any alarms. As for a video you can use the xb1. It has a built in video recorder. Just say "record that" for 30 second clips. For 5 minute clips you snap Game DVR. You then edit it in upload studios. I have only made one video and I am still learning it myself. I am attempting to make my second for my new map. Lol If you have any questions I can send you a friend request.

The lower path is a lot harder.

Here is a sample video of the map. I did not make it through. Mainly because I suck.
This will give you some Idea as to how it plays though.

Hey ZeeEvil1, great looking map!

Love the openess of your map and the use of the quadbike to get from point to point.

Would be really cool to see how this map could be played out differently, say with a bow an arrow trying to sneak about :).

Additionally. I know that the video was made using a video camera (or a phone camera), but it may be beneficial to use the Xbox Ones recording functionality. I know that it can only record up to 5 minutes at the moment, but would possibly make it easier to view your videos in the future.

UbiJax and Khemet, thank you for the video advice and the Xbox link. I have not worked to much with that so I will have to play around with it.
Khemet if you made a recording, that would be very cool.

I my self record using the xbox one's DVR, send to my one drive, download and edit clips using Adobe premier pro.

So...my map has a whopping 7 playthroughs, and 5 thumbs down?
Really? WTF? The map is not that bad. Why is it that something that has a lot of time and effort put into it that actually challenges you, cannot get as many plays as some garbage that took ten minutes to make and only has a box in it? Seriously! This Tomssepticeye garbage that fills the first 3 pages of the maps list has thousands of feedback and playthroughs, but there is literally NOTHING to the map.

I would at least like feedback to what sucked in my map to deserve a thumbs down.

For anyone who maybe interested, Thanks to some good feedback from ImgonnagetyouSucka and Khemet Nubia, I have gone in and made some changes to this map.

1-Moved (1) Wave 1 soldier to the Temple.
2-Created a gap in the nav mesh to prevent Ai from leaving the Temple grounds
3-Moved some of the other Wave 1 Ai to different locations to add difficulty
4-Added 4 more alarms to the map
5-Removed a wasted Cave, Tiger, Dead Bodies that no one knew about to free up budget
6-Added a couple of weapons in different areas.
7-Added a second Spawn Point for co-op
8-Removed a bunch of trees that seemed to be growing out of the rocks
9-Cleared a few trees from the forest before the temple.
10-Tested the crap out of it.

I am going to republish it later after I look it over again. It will have the same name, but followed by a (v2)

Since the map is in the recommended list now, can I request that it be replaced with this one?

If you play it, please let me know what you think of the improvements.

TEMPLE of KALI zE1 by i mzeeEvil1, is a nice open adventure type map set in a beautiful sunny woodland area surround by high mountains where you will find secret hide out guarded by a man eating tiger...Enjoy

This video is great! I commented on your youtube page about it, but thanks again. You made it look great. Too bad that when I republish it, it will be different than this. Like no more tiger cave for example. Still, this is bad ***.
