Music is for me the weakest aspect on Forgotten Battles and the IL2 games. Theres so much good music in WW2 themed games and films, that I tend to switch the FB music off and stick on some custom made CD's with various tracks on it. A bit of Enemy at the gates, Thin Red Line, Wagner even all adds a lot of atmostphere http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

No, thats the Aces High March...not the music that is used in the background for Winston Churchills voice. Aces High doesn't really feature a fiddle either.

I don't remember the name of the tune so I won't embarass myself at guessing, but I do recall that it's on the soundtrack for the movie "Last of the Mohicans." Were one to utilize a filesharing service to aquire their music (damned pirates), I'd start my search at that title.

I do have this particular CD myself, or did, back in the early nineties when I bought it; I have no idea where it is now or which track this song is.

Good tune though, isn't it? Nice choice for this item. What I'm wondering is, when will we see any of the other tunes that're oh so appropriate for IL-2 campaigns? I'm thinking of some Wagner (Flight of the Valkyries, of course), some Orff (O Fortuna, possibly?), or maybe even Mozart's Moonlight Sonata? (Used to such good effect on Wings when referencing the Luftwaffe...wouldn't this just be PERFECT campaign music for a March-April LW campaign?)

But, I'm rambling again.
