Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Going to fire up June 1941 one tonight, we tested it last night, looks good, just couple of minor changes needed.

Some early IL-2s, Rata`s and Chaikas, TB-3s, Early Mig`s and Yak-1 VS Emils, F-2s, Stukie`s and He-111s with flavor of IARs and other antique planes hehe.
Tons of ground targets on user friendly map. Come and see http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I wont be flying tonight, gotta install that fancy liquid cooling on my gaming rig hehe http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Me too! Tonight after getting vulched a couple of times I decided to hit the enemy base in an IL-2, even though they had fleets of Fw-190A4's up. I hit a Messer as he was landing (he was ignoring all the flak streaming up at me) then fired two M-13 rockets at a taxiing A4. Payback http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It wasn't them who had vulched me but it felt good anyway.

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-surprised.gifI'm not a Big On-Line flyer... but the 42 and older aircraft are my favorites.
This sounds like a interesting game server.
Is there a certain time that the server is up... and is it limited who plays or do you have to sign up in addvance? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Flew for a couple hours in VFC last night on both sides, though mostly as a sturmovik in the beginning. Loved it! Best online experience yet and am looking forward to more.

Good job, Ivan...the immersion was great. It was a lot of fun trying to limp back to base in a battered plane to load up on more ammo as the battle progressed and the skies got more dangerous.

I often think the whole world is out to get me, but then I remember that some of the smaller nations are neutral.

You mean VFC Korolov's Playground? Just kidding. I've missed the VFC server, it's one of the few places left to fly an IL-2. I noticed TX-OC3 is back up, too.
