Found this at Hypercale today; a beautiful job done on a Fiat G.50bis. Stunning camo.

Heads-on firing was not a safe practice after all ?
Jussi Huotari: It was not specially recommendedÔ.....
And later, as the Russians were armed with 20mm cannons, it was unwise to meet them heads-on

This is a slight thread hijack, but I figure you guys might be able to answer this for me.

I'm beginning to start working with airplane models. I built the Enola Gay from a Minicraft kit,(I am going to have to weigh the front end more cause it wants to sit on its rear) and am working on a corsair.
Anyways, does anyone know of any good sites for modeling with tips and such. Also what are some reliable brands to look at for modeling, and some respectable places to order from online. I live in a small podunk town that has wal-mart and thats about it. Although they got a small selection of tanks, and lots of car models. There are no airplane models.

Thanks,

You can order models from online from sources like http://www.hobbytown.com/dailyhomepage/?id=73

There are others too, a quick google search should net you several.

thanks toad, I've been ripped off on a few websites before and am now very cautious about who I order from. Now if only I can manage to get enough skill sometime to do a high quality job like that.

The Hyperscale.com site is a very good source for modeling tips, and links to several reliable mail order suppliers. I've had good results with Squadron.com and Meteor Productions.

Other excellent websites include

http://www.scalemodelindex.com/

and
