Not sure if this link has been posted here before but here it is on the off chance it hasn't http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Stumbled across this great website this afternoon that has free warbird videos - for example, here (http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/realg2/P-47ARV56.ram) is a video on ground handling, takeoff, normal flight and landing procedures in the P-47 (requires RealPlayer).

The website is Zeno's Warbird Videos (http://www.zenoswarbirdvideos.com/) - enjoy !

I frequent there often.

But did you notice how easily they had it to set the trim up for all the control surfaces. A twist of the dail to a marked location and they were set. No fiddling, I wish our trim dials worked like most of our gauges so we could look down and see what we are setting. Or have it in the hud like the throttle possition, radiator, ect.

I discovered that site last week and have since watched quite a few of them and I've learned a lot more about engine management and the skills required for each aircraft. Amazing stuff! I agree that Real Player is poor but I guess they want to entice us to buy the films on DVD or CD. Required viewing I think http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Noobler question, but does anyone know how to save those files to hard disk for offline viewing?

I tried right click save target as, but it only saves a link file, not the video.

Dont think you can with those .rm files Chek6 - another incentive to buy the dvd's http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Fair play though, the site does allow free viewing of the films, provided you're connected. I'm seriously considering buying some of those dvd's...

I thought the stall demonstrations were quite interesting - some of those planes appear to have quite docile characteristics on film, markedly different from FB behaviour... but that's for another topic I feel.

CC cow, hrmm I thought I had read something on the net that after you played the vids on your comp, you could save em. Cuz I had tried to save em long ago when I had seen this site for the first time.

Even if you could save them, the DVDs quality would be so much better so I'll probably get a few, I just want to be able to save the mini vids first to be watchable on my laptop.

Anyway, ty for the answer and if anyone else knows how to save realmedia files to hard drive, speak up.
