Ok, taking into account PF will be like FB, how many planes (bombers and fighters) can you run with frames around 30, with what specs on your computer? Just looking for samples.

Can anyone run 150 planes?(in FB?)

Thanks

Check Mission Building near the top.
Depends what type of mission etc. ... .

Got 108 B-17s + 2 FW190 at around 5000 on Lennigrad map. Only light AAA on ground.
Never did a FPS test. This was the high count for my computer. Flyable till the 30mm open up.
At the moment I think around 80 planes or less is good to go at 30FPS.

Intel 3.0, 2 gig ram., ATI 9800 256ram .

one time far before we had the zero, i wanted to see what 300 planes of pearl harbor looked like, so i stuck about 300 la7s in the air. FPS was low, but it was still quite a sight.

Hey yeah I've run that test too. Unfortunately I'm broke and I'm forced to use a school laptop which at first I dreaded. But we just got new Dell Latitudes and it rocks like slayer (for a laptop anyways). I play FB/AEP no problem. With full graphics acceleration (and I mean everything) I can handle about 45 planes with only a small drop in FPS and a stutter here and there. If I drop the graphics to average I could probably boost to about 100 or so!

I'd give you guys the specs. but I'm on my work computer and I can't remember right now.

Only about 40...

Entertaining slideshow the moment they get in range, though. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

1.8 P4, 512 ram, FX5600.

Hopefully will have a new kick@ss system for the release of PF.

I made a mission in FMB that is supposed to be the defense of Malta. 120 Hienkels and 30 escorts versus 20 Hurricanes and Spitfires. I can engage the bombers and escorts without serious FPS loss, but once the Malta Harbour defense opens up, things start getting choppy if I'm in the area. Nothing like seeing a huge bomber stream though. That's 120 head on passes in my Hurri MkIIb!!

Of course I recently dumped an extra grand into my comp.... so it's all upgraded now. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You guys are killing me... I've been toying with getting an upgrade but I'm worried that BoB may require something newer than is out now. I can get about 40 planes or so depending on maps...but I'm seriously RAM capped

My spec:
2.4 P4
128mb Ti4600
384 mb Ram
Me operating system

What do ya think...if I move up to a 3.2 microprocessor, 256mb vid card and 2 gig Ram and XP OS what is the liklihood that I'll regret that next year with BoB?
