I got this email the other day.... actually the first one was thew one on the bottom..the one on top was the reply.

I would like to echo this sentiment. My father was a B-24 co-pilot and eventually a pilot with the 376th Bomb Group (Liberandos), 49th Wing, 15th AF, flying out of San Pancrazio, Italy in late 1944 through VE day in '45. My research of his missions (we lost him in 1994) tells me was often escorted by the Tuskegee Airmen.

We all know they never lost a bomber to enemy aircraft, and my Dad was doubtless one of the men protected by the Red Tail Angels. To those brave and capable fighter pilots still with us, and to those who will be forever young, a sincere than heartfelt thank you.

My name is Debi Robinson. I am the President of my Fathers WWII BG.
This is the 94th Bomb Group (H) Association. They were located out of
Rougham, Bury St Edmunds, England. They were a B-17 BG. I am so
honored and proud to continue the history of these Veterans into the
future. At this time I would like to thank every Red Tail Black Angel
for your Unselfish and Heroic efforts. I do not believe that the 94th
BG had the honor of the Red Tails being on their wing but I know that
the crews that you escorted were blessed to have you. I was fortunate
to have my Father come home, and blessed even more to be involved
with him and his history at this time. My Dad said" When we saw the
fighters on the wings, we knew we were going to be ok." I am so
proud of all of you.

Thank you from my heart,
Debi Robinson
