I have set up mt IL2FB server to stress test it if you could join via IP 24.210.22.74 and also join via hyperlobby(if you have it) server name is JG6 and the description is "TEST! DEDICATED", if you do not see it listed please scroll down the "IN GAME" list to the bottom where you will see an "H" next to names and look for JG6, I would apreciate any feedback. Plz note that it is set to default map and settings (island map and all planes), I have set number of players to 32 to test what load the server and bandwidth will accept.
thnx
S!

download speed does not matter as much. With skin download off 26 players uses roughly 300 kb of constant upload stream. Add 50kb more for each 2 players after. If your connection cannot handle 500 kb upload constant then 32 players plus server (33) is to much

at 500 up you do not have enough bandwidth for 32 players. 24-26 max. The system itself does not need to be fast but a min of 512 mb of ram is good.

ohhhh I misread your post, thnx again your info is just what i was looking for I.E how much bandwidth per player, It seems I can get all kinds of DL speeds(up to 4MB) but the ceiling on UL seems tobe 500kb http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif BTW the system is a 900mhz duron on 512 of pc100 ram.

*sigh* it only took 5 mins for this page to load...I wonder if UBI will ever upgrade from the 486 DX33mhz machine they use for a web server http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/mockface.gif

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.
