View Full Version : Question/Theory about if Abstergo can use the Animus to change the past.

I've been thinking a lot lately about whether a possible subplot ala "Source Code"(a pretty good movie, if you haven't seen it, I'd highly recommend it)could come up in future Assassin's Creed games where Abstergo works out a way using Animus technology to change the past to alter the present to make a Templar world order and we as Assassin's have to stop them from altering the timeline or something. Anyone ever think that, at least in the AC game's world that kind of thing is possible or feasible? I kinda have a thing for time travel movies and games and I've always wondered if the Animus could possibly change the past(if some people remember the Animus is based off of First Civ technology so anything is possible). Just thought I'd bring it up for some discusssion.

there's a POE which can be used to travel to the past but they (Abstergo) were afraid of using it and locked it away...

I like time travel movies/games/etc as well but I think AC should stay away from it, things already are convoluted enough without it...

No the Animus can't, it's a simulator not a time travel maskin.

I guess it kind of depends on whether you subscribe to the multiverse theory.

Could be an interesting twist later.

Could Abstergo do it? Probably not.
Could Juno do it? Probably...
