Has anybody noticed any differances in handling and speeds particualy in the dive between the model 21 and 52's ?

It feels to me like they use the same FM/DM wich should not be,also they can "some times" take many 20mm cannon hit's and still fly just fine something I find very strange for a plane with no armour plate or self sealing tanks.

I know the model 52's FM is preety close to perfect however the model 21 should not safely dive past 310mph, but in the game it will do 400mph with ease.

The reason this bugs me is becuase the only way you can fight one in my favourite ride the p40 is to use superior speed in the dive (even then it picks up speed very slow) however that tactic is void if the enemy has the same abilities.

I have only just noticed this and cant remember any other threads about it since AEP so your input is most welcome,if their is indeed a problem I will consider doing some test's and making out a bug report for oleg to look at.

I belive the advantage of dive in P-40 against zeke's are Vertical Dive in FB. Me and my friend tested it before, with using vertical dive, the A6M5 can't follow and the control of the zeke's stick seem very hard and very slow.

Speed is the KEY.

for me the a6m2 is more fun to fly (virtually)

less roll rate than the m5 but better turn & less stall

the cannon ammo has been called into question

i read it should only be 60 RPG & not 120 ?

Rgr that about dives but have you done the same test against the model 21? it is wasy to fast in the dive infact it's just as fast as the model 52 that is just wrong.

I just re flew the two back to back and I'am starting to think they use the same FM

Rgr should be 60 rpg if I remember correctly but it does seem to be much more.

I have not try A6M2 but i don't think it dive faster than A6M5. But should also apply to A6M2 which is older version compare to A6M5. And the 'light weight' also weak and hard to control while dive.

The other advantage of P-40 are the x6 .50 cal. I feel it's very effactive again zeke where it lack of armor plate and 'flying zeppo'. I have use the .50cal to cut zeke's wing lot of time.

If you are at low atl and chase by A6M2, just fly level/straigh and use 50~60% prop-pitch then you can turn back and say "Sayonara! See you again". A zeke A6M2 will not catch P-40 at level flying. (Do not try with A6m5)

Speed is the KEY.

Oleg is aware of the problems with zero's dive speed, Also, the zero 21 did not have a supercharger and WEP. Ours does. Also, the type 99 cannons had 60rpg not 120. I believe it will be corrected in patch

I guess I saw a thread about jap planes issues in ORR, some time ago, and someone "in charge" wrote that WEP/charger and ammo count problem will be adressed in upcoming patch for sure.

Try it on level flying, it'll faster by 20~30km/h

Speed is the KEY.

Have you noticed that the AM62 can catch fire much more easily than the AM65a when it recieves a burst of Gun fire that hits the Zero in the Wing.

It does seem that there has been an attempt at a more accurate damage model.

Cheers
