is there a way to play track files from forgotten battles and previous versions of AEP? every time there is a new patch, it won't let me play any of my old tracks.

Install the old version with which they were recorded - make a net-track file
That will play in all versions and have skins in too if recorded online http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif with skin d/l on

Question: Did you back-up your files?
Answer: I didn't know they had a reverse...

Read this (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=tpc&s=400102&f=23110283&m=518000417&r=721002417#721002417)

Install a second copy of FB unpatched, play tracks recorded in that version, recording them using the .ntrk format while playing.

Patch to the next version, repeat the conversion process with tracks for that version.

etc....

For all your future tracks, if you want to keep them re-record using .ntrk.
