Different hoods, jackets, belts, leggings etc. have different effects on things like stealth, eagle vision, ammo pouches etc. But what about the OUTFITS? If I wear an outfit, do I have NO benefits at all?

It would kind of lesson the fun of wearing an outfit if it leaves me defenseless. Anybody know about this?

They're purely cosmetic, like in previous games (except AC4). You get all the bonuses from the armor you wear underneath, so to speak.

That's good to know. I like the different customization of your robe in Unity, you can make yourself look like a proper warrior.

Ah, that's good to know, Slembroccoli. That's actually quite cool to let me wear an outfit but keep the benefits of the individual equipment items.
