Or can I copy the Pz.11 into an early war offline campaign planes.dat file? Anyone ever try it?

The Polish AEP campaign is a late war campaign only unfortunately. That said, there are no 1939 German fighters to oppose the P.11. The E-4 was introduced in 1940, after the polish campaign.

You can fly the P.11C in the Romanian bomber campaign but not in a Polish campaign. Just start a career on the Romanian side if all you care about is flying that particular plane. If it has to be a Polish campaign, then I can't help you since the only Polish campaign is so late in the war they were no longer flying the plane. And for a good reason!! You will find the P.11C to be the hardest plane to take off in the game. I am a RL pilot ( and an experienced sim pilot too ) and I can get it in the air, but it ain't pretty. The torque is over-modelled for this plane for some reason. Also, the bombs do not do any damage to anything except maybe an extremely soft target like a car or truck. They will not destroy a bridge although missions where the objective is to destroy a bridge are commonly generated in the campaign. They will not even touch a train. I have quite a few aircraft kills though, including several I-16s and such. What seems like a bug is that many times AI controlled PZ.11s will simply crash into the ground for no reason, even though they had not been hit during combat. Lost 3 AI buddies in one sortie like that.
