S! guys

Could u tell me please how to fly the fw190A series? I try to boom e zoom,as i do in the bf109s, but i often end without any energy and with a enemy behinds me, lol. It seems to me that de fw190A´s do not retain energy well, like de bf109s. I really love the 190s, but i just don´t know how to fly it efectivelly. Thanks a lot for the help!!

1. Learn CEM. Search for Scalps guide to flying the A9 and search for general CEM tips for 190.

2. Fly with wingman.

3. Always be higher and faster than your opponent.

4. Think you can outrun him? You probably can...

Use the search function for "Guide to 190A9" or something like that here and on the simhq.com forum for IL2FB. It's posted at both I think.

Some new stuff needs to be adressed. CEM is Complex Engine Management, you must manage your engine for best performance. You do this through controlling throttle, propeller pitch, radiator settings, and in non-german aircraft supercharger stage and mixture.

For the 190 there are new changes for Aces Expansion: ie you must control radiator yourself, there is no automatic radiator anymore because it was unhistorical. "Closed/Auto" now means "Closed", so make sure you modify it so you don't overheat all day long.

- Modify the Prop pitch for best performance. It depends solely on density altitude, but most of the time 100% prop pitch at sea level is best (though I was in a map that was very high density alt and 95% prop pitch was best for sea level, 100% cost both acceleration and top speed). As your speed increases you will need to modify the prop pitch to keep going faster. I think I end up around %88 on the deck to go 540-550 kph.

-You must learn to deflection shoot without seeing the target. Call it "using the force". You see target, then you pull lead for shot and shoot when you "feel" it. Whole time you don't see target till you pass and see the puffs of hits in the air behind ya.

-Don't turn unless you have crippled your opponent, then only use the verticle still. Never flat turn.
