hi http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I dunno if this is an old topic and I apologise if it is. If it's universal, then where do I report this incidence?

I tend to fly off-line coops by going in through Multiplayer - usually to check out newly d/l'd coops or test squadron stuff - and I took a look through the pre-made stuff that came with AEP. Eventually I decided to fly a Yak 9-D in Coop AO3 - the one with the 2 Mistels in - and took off and headed to the patrol zone to await the expected bridge attack. After a long wait, I decided to use views to check on the enemies' whereabouts - result, one Bf110 idling behind a row of wreckage, unable to take off http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

A few re-fly's showed the problem - the two Mistels veering right, clean off the runway and into a line of parked aircraft - d'oh! The result could be a few broken aircraft or total devastation if the payloads went up. It was quite entertaining, but no Axis a/c ever got up, so I gave up on it.

Am I missing something about this mission, is there a fix due, or anything I could do in FMB to make it work?

Thanks,

And a PS: It's daft that the Mistel pilots leap the apparent 3 or 4 metres to the ground when they bail out while still grounded - head first!! I guess it's too much to write an extra exit routine but it sure looks silly and they always die.

Oleg has already spoken on this subject in some readme somewhere. He stated that the Mistel is not something the AI can fly very well, if at all, due to a game engine limitation. It's an aircraft for human piloting only. AI simply don't know what to do with it and certainly can't deliver the ordinace on target. Go through your readmes, you should find it somewhere, he explains it better than me, even in his fractured english!!

Check over at Oleg's Ready Room Forum as well, I think I remember seeing something there.
