[Xbox One/360] 0x876c0001 Error Code - November 25th, 2014

Xbox One and Xbox 360 Purchase and Content Usage are currently limited to Xbox Live service interruption. Players are currently receiving a "0x876c0001" error code when trying to access their content.

I'm on XBox One and trying to play offline but I keep seeing the intro screen for Fry Cry 4 for about 30 seconds until I'm given the message:

"To start Far Cry 4, we need to connect to Xbox Live."

Does Far Cry 4 for the Xbox One require a connection regardless of players' desire to play offline?
