Hello all,
I looked and didn't find anything about what I'm about to ask, cause I didn't want a repeat http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif. My question is What happened to "MUDMOVERS" is it returning or is some other site going to take its place. I was gleening alot of info from the site.

I heard on another thread that their IP address expired, if they plan on renewing it they have taken a long time, so my guess would be that they are doing a total renovation of the whole site. They WERE outdated, the last update I saw was in Oct., so lets hope that they are overhauling their site. It was a good place to get info.

I did a search for it at one pont cause I thought I was putting it in wrong on the address bar. A screen came up wanting to know if I wanted to buy the address. Doesn't sound too promising. Has Hunter82 said anything about this. I wish he would shed some light on this.

James Jones (aka Eurosnoopy) is the webmaster and hasn't been heard from since late 2003.
I hope he's OK and that RL has just gotten in the way...

Last I had heard from Jim was early Dec. The last site update was Dec 4. I'm not sure what has happened. Personally I do not have time to dedicate a full site any longer due to family and business. If I hear anything I will let you know. Does not look good currently. I have an old back up of mudmovers entire site and may mirror it just for informational purposes.

Likewise not been able to contact Jim, I hope things are OK. Would be more than happy to mirror information at Netwings. I have started a thread in the Netwings IL2 forum to try and capture FAQ like information in order to build up enough for a proper set of pages. All contributions are welcome.

That skinning tutorial I submitted to Jim back in early 2003 was hosted mudmovers. Jim told me that it was quite popular for a time there after it was uploaded, and I've been contacted by several skinners in the last weeks asking where it's gone.

I still have an archive of that tutorial, if it's not a part of Hunter82's backup. When you guys get things sorted out, if you need or want those file, let me know.

I never met Jim, but I too hope that he is OK. I can relate. I hate when people I know mysteriously "disappear" for long periods of time. I'm the worrying-type.

"IMHO" MUDMOVERS is (was?) a very important... even integral... part of our simming community. To lose it right now would almost be tragic.

Sounds like a mystery thriller. I do hope he's alright.

The return of Mudmovers.com (if it happens) is one of the FB news I'm really waiting for, along with the release of any new patches.

Bump

Mudmovers rocked.

Surely one (or more?) of us can find some free webby space to host this? I will volunteer my 20MB, I'm doing bugger all else with it.

Any more for any more?!
