How exactly does the Aux 1 switch work?

Basically it is programmed like a repeating key. So if for example you programmed it to engage WEP (W key by default) then it would be like holding down the W key all the time.

There are three switch points though so you could have one being a keypress, the middle doing nothing and then the last one another keypress. That way when it is in the middle you are not holding down any keys.

Hope that make sense http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/blink.gif

That makes sense. I thought abvout it and also thought about using it for different levels of zoom. For example delete/end/pgdn keys at each of the positions.

That is indeed the most common way to program it. However, as Unkle noted it is a repeating key so unless you've installed the SST in advanced mode and can enter an "advanced" command so that it only signals the appropriate key at the keypress section, it won't work.

I suggest that you load up that Saitek software and program the AUX button as a press& release for each detent. That is how I have mine set.. for Zoom,Normal & Wide view and it works flawlessly. When set that way you will see two buttons in the profiling software window for that key..o one will be pressed and the other will be released. I dont remember the process exactly as I set it up a while ago but experiment.

I guess great minds think alike. And of course I have it in advanced mode - If i spent all that money i'm going to push it to the limit http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
