This is my first skin. It's a generic Emil -7. I call it 'Red 4'. It may not seem like much to most of you but I'm quite proud of it. Much thanks must go to Snorri's web site Flugzeuwerks, as well as Skinner's Heaven and Skins@sturmovik.com.

enjoy....

Quite nice! I like the red/yellow contrast.

I always wondered, why did they go to all the trouble to give a real airplane a cammo paint job the put bright yellow or red on the plane. Sure, Regiment insignia and all but why make the plane any more visible than it needs to be.

Late in WW2, when US had air superiority, why not shiny aluminum skin and bright red tails! (Tuskegee Airman. Of course when you're that good why not?)

USN in Pacific always painted to match combat area, right up to the end.

So was it pride? Pride of Regiment or pride of self? I know many fighter pilots felt they were bulletproof. Needed to, to do the job.

That could be it, needed to feel so invincible that they could paint any color on the plane?
