Just got back from two fantastic days in Geneseo, NY; flew a 60 min. flight in a T-6 Texan for my 50th [with dual controls http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif] and the Airshow the next day.
Need simple http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/53.gif, step-by-step instructions on how to post a few photos on this site.
Thanks in advance for any advice; I know this is second nature for most, but not for me.
Already have the photos downloaded from my Kodak EasyShare camera.

when you have them loaded on photobucket click on the little landscape icon above the type in window and copy the address into that and click enter or whatever it is.. or to add it by type put infront of and at the end of the address for your picture so it will be like
photobucket.co/mypic/spifire/1.jpg (have added the gaps between at the front and rear of the address so you get the idea, they should not be there)

thats how to add them, BUT resize them to about 800 by 600 jpg and also don't post too many, you can add the links to the others without the [img] so its a bit more friendly to the 56k'rs that use the site [img]http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif then we can click on them and it will hyperlink us to them http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif also put a warning in the subject title there are big pics.

looking forward to seeing em http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Followed your advice and logged into Photobucket. Set up alblum and then tried to put in photos.
However, each time, I get this message:
>
> The page cannot be displayed
> The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings
>
>
> I have System Mechanic [akin to SystemWorks by Norton] and, each time, disabled its firewall.
> I have a Dell computer running on the internet thru a cable modem and router, which I understand has some sort of built-in fireewall.
> I have never had a similar problem once I disabled the System Mechanic firewall.
>
> The photos I took are as large as 2012kb. [1728 X 2304 pixels].
Do not know how to "re-size"; had thought that, from the Photobucket site, it automatially re-sized to 250. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Thanks in advance for your patence and advice, and that of any other forum members. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/11.gif

Redlte, can't wait to see your pics from Geneseo.

When you load a picture into PhotoBucket look under it and then copy/paste the line(bottom line under picture) to the post you want to show it in.

Ahhhh, brings back memories of my days chasing college girls there when I worked at Kodak back in 73. [img]http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Thanks, but back to the question at hand - how do I re-size and avoid the above?

You need a program that you can resize them. HyperSnap is one, but PhotoShop and I think MS Paint will also work. PhotoBucket should resize them for you tho.

TOAD,
Thanks, but my problem is that I am unable to put the photos INTO an alblum.
'Tho I suspect that, cursed as I am with computers, that will be the next problem!

Don't worry about putting them in an alblum for the time being. I don't use an alblum, I just keep adding to the ones I put up. You'll be able to load many pictures.

Did you make an account on Photobucket?

If so you just need to upload them to photo bucket. I haven't bothered making an album.

Ok to make an album just place a name in the text box for it. Then click create, then click on that albums name to go add pics to it. Just made one. Password is T_O_A_D if you need it too view not sure. TEAM USA album (http://img13.photobucket.com/albums/v37/T_O_A_D/Team%20USA/)

TOAD,

Set up alblum with no problems.
Then added photo from the airshow:
C:\Documents and Settings\Jim Brady\My Documents\My Pictures\Kodak Pictures\2004-07-10
Hit "Submit" & came up with the aforementioned "error" message.
Have tried this multiple times, with several and then only one photo, same result each time.

TAYLOR TONY,

Apparently so.
'til I find the problem and solution, if anyone wants to see photos, just PT me with their e-mail address. I can then send a few, either reduced size for e-mail, or full size [remembe that some are as large as 2012 kb.]
Planes at Geneseo included [I can send by plane type]:
Dauntless; Helldiver; Avenger; Spitfire; Hurricane; 2 B-17's; 2 Mustangs.
Thanks again to all; hope this gets fixed!

Sorry I missed that small part of your post.

Rename your pics I think the - is the problem.

I just tried to name a pic 2004-07-10 like yours and windows doesn't like it, and force the - into a _ 2004_07_10 Photobucket may have the same problem not sure.
