So I installed the game first then activated it on Uplay. The game does not appear installed and when I try to activate it again this message pops "This CD key or activation code is already active on this account. Please visit your games library to access your games."

Did you get this resolved? I'm having almost the same issue, logged a ticket with support but nobody has gotten back to me yet.

In my case, the game (AC Unity) appears in my library, but when I try to load it, it asks for code. Enter code, it says already active, go to library. Go to library, try to load... rinse, repeat. Pretty frustrating.
