I've been using the default joystick settings.

I would like to know more how to setup these joystick settings in the game to get the most out of my setup.

I don't want to just go in and start messing with it until I have a good understanding of what the end result and goal is.

ie. I want to get more reaction from the stick, however, I don't want the AC bouncing around like crazy while lining up a shot.

Thanks in advance.

Little help but I reduced roll (by 20%) and pitch (10%) settings and found 190´s and 109´s much more controlable. I´m flying russian planes in default settings and it´s ok, if the Lagg´s are really had that little response in RL /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif .

Hi Recon,
As I found out by the constantly tweaking the joystick settings - it is the most influential factor determining if one or another plane is flyable or not. Very often the joystick settings need to be adjusted if you want to switch from "normal" behaving planes like Yak or Messerschmitt to something requiring special attention - like Fw190 or Cobra.
Just remember - default settings are not necessarily good or even acceptable for all flyers. They are set to provide very gentle "response curve" making all the fine adjustments possible but maneuvers in flight very sluggish. Response curve here is "proportional" - i.e. deflecting joystick
First %10 moves control surface %1 of its play;
Second %10 moves control surface %4 of its play;
Third %10 moves control surface %9 of its play, etc.

Setting all sliders to a %100 will get you a "linear" response of the control surfaces - i.e. %10 deflection of the control stick - deflect lets say rudder exactly %10 percent.

Depending on your flying habits, your joystick and the planes you are "virtually" flying your "response curve" should be somewhere in the middle.
It does not make any sense to post anyone's joystick settings here - you would still need to find your own.
If you want I can e-mail you an Excel spreadsheet to easier calculate "correct" response curve, but you still will need to experiment.
