Anyone here here running this game at 4k? whats your experience and specs like on 4K?

I currently run the game at 1440p with everything turned to max and AA set to FXAA and i receive 40-60fps 95 percent of the time. 5 percent of the time i may get an additional drop randomly but its very rare.

On 4k i turn shadows to high and turn AA to off and hovers at like 30-38 fps but has major dips much more frequent to the 20s.

My setup is 970 in sli, 3770k processor, 32gb ram.

Whats everyone else experience?

I play in 1440p with GTX 980 and get 35-55 fps on everything maxed out and AA - FXAA (I tried TXAA but then I'm out of VRAM)
Other specs : i7 2600k, 16GB RAM

I must say, that pretty satisfied from performance :)

I have 2 970's sli and am getting high 20's mid 30's in the open world section and mid teens for the cut scenes in 4k.

Yup thats pretty much the same as me, guess ill be playing at 1440p, which btw looks amazing in the game. Was hoping it run at least 30fps or higher at all times but that doesnt look to be a realistic outlook. Well see what happens with far cry and the crew

It will run better if youd disable SLI. The game is CPU intensive. SLI uses a lot of CPU.

maybe true in some cases, but i tried turning off sli on my 970 and on 1440p it drop to the 25-30ish range. With SLI on i get 40-50 range on 1440p and even higher if i turn on shadows to high

Blanket statement is blankety. The game may use a lot of CPU but it is foolish to suggest that any and all CPUs will be the bottleneck at high resolutions. SLI doesn't use CPU in a way that degrades performance to the point that you see negative gains. The game is more CPU intensive than other games, but not more CPU-intensive than it is GPU/vram intensive. This is especially true at 1440P and beyond. The GPU(s) are the bottleneck.

The game runs alright for me on near max settings.

I've got a GTX 780Ti with 3GB of VRAM, an i7-4770k OC'd to 4.2GHz, and 16GB RAM @ 1866Mhz (I feel like I've typed these specs like a million times now, lol).

I've been using Environment Quality on Very High (I can push it on Ultra High, but Very High looks almost identical and runs slightly better), Textures on High ('cause there's no Very High Option and Ultra High takes 4GB), AO on HBAO+, Stretching on, Bloom on, and Anti-Aliasing at FXAA ('cause MSAA is too performance intensive, and TXAA takes waaaay too much for me).

Overall, I tend to get somewhere between 30-50 fps, usually hovering between the mid 30s and low 40s. However, there's definitely some stuttering, and oh how I hate the cinematics. That's the one thing I don't get. I drop to somewhere in the mid to low 20s during cinematics.

Just thought I'd put this out for anyone who wanted some reference as to how the game runs. Hope this helps someone.

I'm playing at 1600p (2560x1600) on a 30" display.

Machine specs:

Core i7-4770k - not over-clocked
32GB RAM
Evo 840 SSD

2 x GTX 780Ti SLI (3GB RAM each)

Environment Quality - Very High
Textures - High
AO - HBAO+
Stretching - on
Bloom - on
AA - FXAA

I'm getting high 50's FPS consistently, no stuttering. Despite the negative comments around, I feel the game plays much smoother than Watch_Dogs for me, no crashes as yet. Given my video cards, I feel like I should be able to move up to TXAA but unfortunately that ruins the frame-rate. The FPS is actually very similar to Black Flag with similar settings (except slightly higher AA on Black Flag as I remember), though the environment and graphics are much superior in Unity.

I've put all settings on low except for Textures (which is on Very high, only a 2 fps loss compared to low) and gain only a rough 26-36 fps on 3 290x's...
I've tried to forcefully disable certain things like DoF to no avail... i'm... underwhelmed.
on 2 of them i have about 16-22 fps and a single only gets about 12-18 fps.

Yeah, they really need to fix those horrible drops during cut scenes.
