Hi guys, I have a couple of quick questions about AC's game engines. After replaying AC2 and ACB I noticed little change in the gameplay and their engines. Are they both on the same engine? Also, what are the names of the Assassin's Creed engines so far? If I remember correctly, Anvil was the name for the first AC, and AnvilNext was made for AC3.

The engines that AC 1 - AC R were on were much less glitchy. They are different engines. Dont know what the first one was called though.

Scimitar later renamed to Anvil.

I know that AC3 uses Anvil Next. I suppose AC4 also does, and so does Rogue. No idea about what engine Unity uses though,

Is Anvil in numerical order for AC1-ACR (Anvil- AC1, Anvil 2- AC2, Anvil 3- ACB, Anvil 4- ACR)?

Anvil(AC-ACR), Anvilnext(AC3-ACRouge) but the name of the engine for Unity I have no idea about.

I assumed Rogue and and Blag Flag are on AnvilNext also but with various gameplay and animation improvements, but I have not found anything on Unity either.

I think some article once said that ACU runs on AnvilNext

Does anybody know what engine Liberation HD uses?

Does anybody know what engine Liberation HD uses? Because to me it felt like a mix of Anvil and AnvilNext. Was the engine ported from the Vita or did they rewrite the game entirely in desktop engines?

If I remember correctly it uses AnvilNext.

As everyone said for all ACs but Unity, for Unity as far as i know its still Anvil Next engine with revamped parts of the code.
