After all this footage,i kinda grew tired of the default outfit,so i am thinking to start customisation as soon as i can.Maybe a more fancy hood or aomething. What about you?

Idk. i really like his costume. Maybe at first I will try and change the color of the default robes to white to give it a more classic "assassin" look. I think it will look nice in white.

I usually do my first playthrough with the default outfit, but I feel like Arno was meant to be customized to the fullest extent.

Sure, why not? Although I usually stick to the original outfit, I'll probably change some parts

I hate customizing the iconic look...
Sadly here in Unity it looks like they are taking the RPG approach and tying stats to clothing.. so ill have to at some point lol

my main concern about every AC game is difficulty. i refrained from upgrading my character in all AC games and i kept them to the bare minimum in terms of outfits, upgrades and weapons to make the game as hard as i possible could.... sadly the idiotic combat system made the game really easy no matter what i did so that didnt help.

in ACU i feel the game MIGHT be indeed challenging so i plan on upgrading the equipment up until the point it starts feeling too easy. or the other way, in fact - im gonna hold off upgrading and changing until the game feels really hard (if it ever does) and then think about what to change.
or i might change parts of the outfit to make the game harder for me, which means upgrading to support roles i dont play and hinder roles i do.

For it, it doesnt matter. Not a picky person :p

If people get bored. they're obviously gonna change it.

And theres some people who don't get bored easily and love the default outfits (like me with Altair's and Connor's robes)

All about preference really.

I'll try out new stuff, until I find an outfit that looks good, and has good-to-best stats.

Theres a difference to adding on and changing...
Ezio added armor.. Ezios signature look was the completion of this armor set...
In unity you'll have to wear circus pants if you dont want to stand out in a crowd hahahah

Yeah, that's it. I've always been an all-stealth kind of player, so I'll obviously go that way and look for the stealth best-suited gear. But I'll definitely try the legacy outfits, namely Revelations' and AC3's.

Speaking of the legacy outfits, it's about time Ubisoft realized it's not significant to include ancient outfits to be wore in more modern times. I mean, is it credible to walk around XVIII century Paris, wearing XII century middle-eastern clothes? I'm disappointed because I was under the impression they were trying something different this time, making current-time robes and clothes but inspired by the legacy outfits, in order to reflect their color schemes and patterns, rather than just making exact copies again. Connor's outfit is the one best-suited for Unity's time-frame, and I absolutely love it, but I hope it doesn't include the native-american boots this time, because that's way too conspicuous for Paris.

No, I'm going to customize him BEFORE the feature is available #2edgy4u

But seriously, I might hang onto the default one for a while, it looks so freaking good. But I'll inevitably find something with better stats that I like too. The only thing is, I haven't seen a single alternate hood that I think looks better than the default one.

could not have disagreed more. thank god UBI disagrees as well. after like 6 games where combat has gone from mediocre to worse im glad they are finally trying to go DEEP instead of flashy.

this is a bit of a shallow statement. any outfit UBI would chose to put arno in will seem like the one arno is meant to be wearing, simple because we see it all the time. it has nothing to do with anything. not in stats (which i assume is really bad because you start in it) and not in colors or looks. it is almost a completely random choice. it was chosen since it isnt too much not alike outfits of past games and because it doesnt scream something that really isnt assassin - it isnt really armor like, isnt really fancy... it's just.... just.... nothing special. i agree that it's beautiful, but im sure that a LOT of other outfits will be just as well design and the moment you see them you will change your mind ;)

I know, but because it is the main advertising outfit, I feel like I should where that one for all the story parts of the game. I always like to wear the main robes in AC, with this game it's no different :P I will customise the heck out of him when I'm done with the story though ^^

I’m gonne re-invent Arno!

This will probably be the first time, cause I only bother with armors in past games, except for ACII, in which I always unlock Altair’s Armor (which is basically a full new outfit) as I always prefer the original look, but AC:U is a different case, because all these outfits are original outfits, intended to be used, rather than just extra adornments for cosmetic purposes only.

Yeah, on consoles you can get it via Game of the Year or Ezio's Trilogy edition, on PC it's on Digital Deluxe, BUT it has to be a particular Digital Deluxe edition. Not Steam one. Steam Digital Deluxe doesn't have the dye. >_<

EDIT: Speaking of exclusive content... you can kinda play the first five, I think, Copernicus DLC missions on PC now. With a couple bugs. And I guess soon enough the whole DLC will be playable on PC. Just saying :p

Um... Where did you get the idea that chain killing is gone in AC4? You can still chain kill plenty... You have less health and offensive kills take 1-2 more hits, but the combat is virtually identical to AC3.
