Tied between AC1, AC2, and AC3.

But I think we all know who I might choose.

"But I want to play with fire, father! What would you say, do as you wish? Then you'll answer for his wounds."

"Look at you, are you so different? Killing a man for disagreeing with you, we are not so different you and I."

"They always called me an abomination, I paid them in kind today."

paraphrasing here, probably heavily, but it doesn't get any better than that. They really turn the knife in you and make you question whether you're the hero afterall. Those lines were masterpiece.

Offtopic: It will always remain a profound mystery to me as to how the person responsible for these gems was also responsible for the AC2 lines, which were just different versions of "I keeled u im so cool kbye".

Personally, I feel that AC1 had some of the best white room speeches. Hands down.

Well I love ACT'S white room moments... but I chose AC1 because it was my favorite part of the game... even if they weren't as good as other games moments... I think it deserves it.

I like to think these same people were relentlessly pressured to, well, ''alter'' the franchise for mass consumption after AC:1's success.

AC1 for me, they were pretty deep and meaningful, the ones in AC2 were much shorter and were just.. meh, they felt pretty pointless.

I would have to say AC4. Yes, AC1's have got more depth and meaning, but overall quality in my eyes goes to AC4. AC4's white room moments still have the exploration of outlooks on life AC1's white rooms have, the more personal touch of AC3 white rooms, and all written in a very tight manner (i.e. closer to Ezio's white rooms).

Speaking on the last point, AC1's white rooms have some very awesome quotes, buuuuut, they're so long-winded. I wrote an example some time ago what a few lines from AC4 white room would look like had they been written like in AC1:

Though, I think AC1 white rooms are the most stylish, but they're also over-abundantly long.
Like the exchange of phrases from ACIV:
- You mistake my motives old man, I'm doing this just for a bit of coin.
- As was I lad, as was I.
(which is aweseome, btw http://static5.cdn.ubi.com/u/ubiforums/20130918.419/images/smilies/biggrin.png )

In AC1 would look like something:
- You mistake my motives, old man.
- Why, aren't you an Assassin devoted to protecting people based on your precious philosophy?
- I couldn't give a toss about that.
- Then why do you do this?
- A bit of coin, really.
- Then you and I are not so different.
- I don't see myself working as a slaver.
- Do you think I have a personal vendetta against those people? I was in it for coin, just like you.

AC1. Hands down. I just finished ANOTHER replay of AC1, and Sibrand is so good.

I'm just going to post the quotes from my best moments, sorry no vote.

"It's all a matter of perspective. There is no single path through life that's right and fair and does no harm." ~ Benjamin Church.

"Am I not unlike those precious books you seek to save? A source of knowledge with which you disagree? Yet you are rather quick to steal my life." ~ Jubair al Hakim.

There is more.

Overall I'm going with AC4 for basically the same reasons Farlander listed. They really chronicled Edward's development as well as touching on the overall philosophy of the series.

And while I'm at it, no, AC2's weren't bad. The villains themselves were crap, but the speeches were fine. Yes, they were all essentially Ezio one-liners, but for that context, they just worked. "I just killed an undeniably evil dude and now I'm going to say something really cool in Italian." In ACB they sort of tried to go back to the AC1 model of the Assassin debating his dying targets, but the problem was that the targets were even cheesier than the ones in AC2, so the whole thing sort of flopped. It had neither the philosophical depth of AC1 nor the pithy one-liner aspect of AC2, they were just... blah.

AC3, closely followed by AC1. AC3 is my favourite purely because Haytham sums up the Templars perfectly.

AC1, loved the dialogue and loved how you could change the camera orientation whenever glitches momentarily appeared. I also liked how Altair soaked a feather in the target's blood before the scene faded back to 'reality'.

Alta´r:"You held fire in your hands old man. It should have been destroyed." definitely AC1

I was stuck between AC1 & AC3...

AC1 speeches actually made you question Altair,The Assassins, and Templars you killed. Like who was truly right or justified in what they were saying?

AC3 speeches like AC1, actually made you question Connor, but at the same time, made you feel sympathetic as hell towards the Templars you killed.

Argh! Why wasn't this multiple choice!?

But at any rate, I chose AC3 by a landslide because of how memorable I find them. Though I always go back to watch the AC1 speeches as well. ^.^
