Ok so here's something thats been on my mind for quite some time. Im not sure if I am the only one that has this idea, so Im intrigued to hear your opinions. There's a certain type of mission that, I feel ,is slowly dying in the AC franchise. A type of mission that, in my opinion was a perfect combination of cinematic elements and gameplay.

unlike 'tailing' missions, 'eavesdrop' missions or 'assassinate' missions, i don't think I can really label what they are. So here's are some video's of what I'm thinking of:

-Skip to 4 minutes for this final one.

I completely loved these missions. They aren't difficult or challenging but they're not suppose to be. For me these missions were great because it felt like I was watching a movie, but I was in charge of the character. Sure, the mission is incredibly linear and scripted but this is why it was great. It not only makes it incredibly satisfying to play, but its fun to watch.

The music, the narrative and the surroundings are all pre-determined to produce an amazing cinematic experience. They also display the awesomeness of AC's free-running in a way that running through the open world can't. Everything is tactical placed by the developers to make the parkour as smooth and flowing as possible. Hence, why Im bringing this up now with Unity's new free running mechanics.

I would love to see 1 or 2 of these missions in Unity. Missions that allow us to take a break from tactically using our minds and respawning over and over. A mission where we can sit back and admire the game. I noticed that Revelations probably had the most of these, so I hope Amancio incorporates them into Unity.

What do you guys think? Maybe Im just going insane.

You mean scripted events? Yeah nothing wrong with them as long as they aren't overused.

-cough- Uncharted 3 -cough-

I agree, I loved such missions and I hope Unity has a few of them.

I did I really loved these! However also reminds me that there used to be puzzle like missions in ac2 and brotherhood and revelations! I hope they are back! One of my favorites is the one when in ac2 you are chasing this guy on a horse underground...

These missions were pretty fun but, I'd prefer the new blackbox missions they were talking about over these. They sounded more fun to me x)
