* Improved editor, triggers please http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

* Better(more) sound effects.

* Duds, both bombs and torpedoes. Bombs to not explode if the tip isn't hit hard enough.

* Same kind of damage model to ships as to planes (wishfull thinking).

* More powerfull QMB.

* External views for ships and other vehicles.

* Slumping crew!

* Better GUI. E.g. planes ordered in groups.

There may be more later on http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

All good suggestions Yellonet. I'd like to add a couple of my own.

I'd sure like to see a functional barrier system that would fold down after a/c comes to a stop, so that you can taxi over it after landing. This might only be doable in coops and single player missions though.

I'd really like to see a much toned down DM for a/c that are on the ground. I think that with so many a/c packed into a relatively small space such as a carrier deck, there are going to be an awfull lot of frustrated people getting blown up due to just a tap of a wingtip.

Smoke columns from a/c wreckage with a much shorter time limit for obvious reasons.

Outside camera views for only your own a/c while on the deck to facilitate taxiing on a crowded carrier deck.

I'd sure like to see an LSO on the carrier deck, even if he were no help in getting me aboard. It would just be really cool to see him there as you went by. If he were standing directly behind his wind break, he would not be too much of a distraction/immersion killer during launch operations. If the developers decide to give us an LSO in a small window a la M$ CFS2, please make it a selectable item that we can turn off if we don't want it!!

The thing we are getting seems to be better, we're getting a "raise seat" function so that you can look over your nose, this will be good both for getting around on deck and landing.

Yeah, I read about the raised seat Yellonet, but I don't think that will help much if you're in a plane with folded wings. Without the ability to actually get out of your aircraft and see what's around you, you'll never know if it's safe to unfold them. That is why, in RL, you have so many plane directors on a carrier deck, to keep the pilot from running into something! If you are in a coop, or DF server with outside views turned off, you'll be almost completely blind if you spawn with the wings folded, which I've read is a strong possibility. (spawning on the deck with wings folded, that is)

So, just while your wheels are in contact with the deck, I'd like to be able to get outside my own a/c in order to taxi around on the deck without worrying about hitting someone/thing else. I envision this as something like the outside view you get when you bail out. Even in servers where outside views are disabled, you are given an outside view of yourself during the fall.

I see what you mean.. perhaps an external top-down view fixed on your aircraft, so that you can see 50m or so in all directions.. that would prevent "cheating".
